shri, 03 May 2014One who said this didn't even update their own galaxy nexus.SoC no longer had updated drivers/modules to run it, nothing to do with RAM.
Blame the fact that TI walked away.

Anonym, 03 May 2014That may be true as a policy, but on the technical side you... moreMost user use Sd-card because the internal storage is too small! I need more than 64 Gb for game-data and offline maps and...! Most user do not remove or change the Sd-card they installed on the phone, because that is not needed to be able to transfer files to and from the phone/sd-card!

                AnonD-62471, 03 May 2014I'm struck with gingerbread 2.3.6Lucky you!
I want Gingerbread on my S3 because that was the best version for true multitasking! Google have "cured" "lag" by restricting multitasking! On Gingerbread I could stream many movies in many different browsers and listen to music and edit office documents and..., and I could hear the sound from all the streaming movies even when I turned off the screen, that is impossible on JellyBean, and KitKat is even worse! S3 will be my last Android, but I think I will not want any other phone for atleast the next 5 years!

wiseguy70502, 03 May 2014Drive access permissions are pathetic. ....can write files ... moreThat may be true as a policy, but on the technical side you cannot forget that a SD card (or any other external storage) can be removed at any time -- which will have implications on the good operation of any app that was using said store while (or after) it was removed.

Drive access permissions are pathetic. ....can write files from internal memory to sd card. Cant make utorrent download files directly to SD card due to the stupid file permission. Xplore cant write files even though samsungs own My Files app can.

So basically google wants every user to buy phones without external memory (nexus ahem ahem) under the false pretence of improving security and bolster their own apps voiding the use of 3rd party apps ( reminds you of someone).

It seems others are better at that....they atleast say what they are doing. Literally ruined my note 2 with the kitkat update.....never going for Samsung ( or Android) again.

JB 4.1.X percentage will remained a long time as international version S3mini stucked with 4.1.X eternally.

KitKat was released on 31 October 2013. It took half a year to gain 8.5% market share. Yeah, really amazing speed.
