vijayshimla, 04 May 2014Pre-order for Redme involves no money deposits..just visit ... moreFrom my own experience of buying Mi2s, I pre-ordered 3 times and didn't get one. the reason is it's sold out within 10 mins every time. at the end, i gave up and bought one from TM site for a higher price. The key here is how many handsets Xiaomi can offer not how many pre-orders. at the moment, Xiaomi simply can't meet the demand in China. don't even mention about meeting the demand of the countries outside of China.

Also it seems that Intel Z2580 isn't especially power efficient.
And 6 inch is just too big for most people.

While Apple and Samsung are busy fighting each others and while Apple iSheep and Samsung fanboys are fighiting each other, China phones like Xiaomi are sliently up-ing and grabbing market share. I guess by 2017, it will be China smartphone world!

Asus is having a 6" zenphone with similar or better configuration at around US$200. It uses Intel's Atom chipset so the speed should be good. To bad, again, It might be marketed only within Asia. No information at Asus' US website.

Can't wait for these guys to hit the western markets; their devices seem absolutely top notch, i would love to see them knock Apple down a peg or two... that is if Apple doesn't sue them for something ridiculous first...

z, 03 May 2014it's cheap for a reason. How right you are, this is the type of phone, if it breaks you throw it away, repairing might cost more then the phones worth.

Pre-order for Redme involves no money deposits..just visit the Xiaomi web site..how many of these so called 15 Million Pre-orders result into actual deliveries is a conjecture.
