Nice china is almost half of the world,so its no surprise that a Chinese. Company will sell this much and unlike India. Poverty ratings in china are very low so lots of people can buy a smartphone

I am a proud Hongmi 1(redmi) user, most people I know who bought one use it as secondary phone for travelling around, as their primary flagship cellphone doesn't offer dual sim.
Great phone I have to say, no complaint for this price.
