If the above info is correct it is rather sad that apple has not managed to get it right.
They come out with 1 or 2 models of iPhone per year , the phones are expensive compared to the other brands and even then there is no consistency.
Also they should clarify about the 5.5 display phone so that one can decide which one to go for. 4.7 OR 5.5

Apple join the fashion of phone model. 4.7 and 5.5 screen size. Now they have to be a premium iphone 6 with saphire and ordinary iphone 6 of non saphire. They fallow the market of htc metallic m8 premium and m8 plastic. Samsung s5 premium and s5 ordinary. It is now the marketing style?

In the "Limited" world of Apple, i can enjoy all platforms.. Windows/OSX/Android/iOS. Nothing is impossible, and no limits.

Apple is a restricted ecosystem, limited to specific applications/hardware, and only able to be fully taken advantaged of with its own products. Interchangeability is locked down and a joke.
Windows and Android are much better choices. Period.

Apple attacks on both fronts. Desktop OS / Mobile OS. The rest will be left in the dust.
In fact, all you need is iPhone 4S and a BT 4.0 enabled Mac. Your set for 2015. Sapphire or not, merging of Desktop and Mobile is coming.. no one can stop this trend.

Apple's sapphire screen situation is quickly going down the drain. The company is on par to have a disastrous iPhone 6 release. Many iFans are going to be in the market for the highly publicized sapphire display version. Once consumers find out that it may only be available on specific models, there's going to be an obvious "lose|lose" outcome.
Consumers are going to hold out for the sapphire display model, leaving the non-sapphire offerings on the shelf. Sales will suffer.
