Anonymous, 26 Jul 2014You think you have it bad? Come to Canada 4GB 110 bucks wit... moreWhat are you talking about? Maybe you need to find a better provider, but according to Rogers, you can get 5GB for $40 month-to-month or 20GB for $90 on a HUB plan.

Likewise, you get 15GB on an iPhone plan for $165/month. Who's whinging here?

Check out Telstra, the only reliable 4G provider, and see how much they charge.

    iPhone 5S, 3GB/month - $130 (AUD/CAD are almost on par)

    Vodafone, unreliable and cheap:

    iPhone 5S, 6GB/month - $100

harlekkin, 26 Jul 2014Hundred's of GB of MOBILE data? Show me the proof of that! ... moreYou think you have it bad? Come to Canada 4GB 110 bucks with unlimited canada wide calling etc...

15GB? 165 so yeah quit complaining about your rates till you live in the country with the near highest or highest rates per month.

Miike Hunt, 26 Jul 2014You Americans get it pretty tough, us here in the UK can do... moreHundred's of GB of MOBILE data? Show me the proof of that! In Australia you'd be lucky to get 5GB for under $60 of 4G data.

You Americans get it pretty tough, us here in the UK can do hundreds of GB per month, no problems and it's a damn sight cheaper.

The article is stating the obvious. When there's nearly 80% of smartphones on the network, you can expect that the majority of them are LTE enabled. So yes, the majority of traffic is 4G - so what?

Whether people use 2 or 5GB per month means truly nothing. Data itself should be dirt cheap, since the infrastructure needs to be maintained no matter whether you are a heavy user or not.

And network congestion will never be solved by limiting volumes, the only way is to improve network capacity in the first place. Vodafone Australia had to learn that the hard way.
