Although if you can manage a massive screen then go for it. Bigger is better. IPhone is yesterday's news if they don't release a phablet.

5.9" seems to be just fine. Not too small or too big to handle. Probably not possible to use with only one hand, but still pretty easy to use and will fit in most pockets. Probably the optimal screen size?

Even the males watch something or the other besides playing games. Small digits are never going to stop them from getting even larger screen phones and tablets.

People want flagship performance, but with a smaller screen size. Look at the Motorola X, those sell fine. And the elephant in the room is obviously the iPhone. Yeah, no one wants those phones with 4" screens. Even the new iPhone 6, if the rumors are true, will only have a 4.7" screen. People want those phones, they just want flagship specs too. Just because lots of people want phablets, hardly means everybody wants phablets.

I would love to see a Nexus phone from Motorola, but 5.9" is horrible. Pretty soon (if not already) all Android flagship phones will be phablets.
Ironically, this will leave only Apple, whose iPhone for so long has been lacking only in screen size, as the only flagship smartphone with a reasonable screen size (assuming the 4.7" rumors for the iPhone 6 are true). So much for Android being the world where you have choices when it comes to hardware.
If Apple releases at 4.7" and 5.5" iPhone, as rumored, with the same specs, then only Apple will truly offer a choice in the flagship space, phablet or not-phablet. Blech. I hate this huge phones. Anything over 5.2" just doesn't work.
