First, there's 1 less subpixel per 6 subpixels, which would be the equivalent of 260 ppi, if we would assume that pixel size, gaps, pixel shape and most importantly, human sensitivity to different colours would all be equal. But none of the above factors is equal. And the amount of blue pixels has much less effect on our perception of luminance resolution than green and red.

Guys this is a premium device so on that resolution they can not afford it to be PenTile and if it is RGB SAMOLED it will be gorgeous

abby, 07 Aug 2014why the hell would they skimp on specs and make it 720p. 10... more720p is perfect for this phone in 4.7 inch device you can't tell the difference between 720p and 1080p unless you look at under microscope. 1080p means less battery life and more strain on the CPU and GPU. And the battery is something like 1800 or 1850 mAh so 720p is better option for this phone.

[deleted post]A 720p res display never get ppi over 500 with 4.7 inch size.. A 4.7 Inch QHD display has to be over 600ppi.. :) If you want some idea about this one's ppi rate check out a another 4n what has came with 720p and 4.7 Inch...

Actually 720p is perfect. The visual difference is insignificant, but the reduced pixel amount ensures greater performance and battery life.
67mm is also great, just like Galaxy S2!

why the hell would they skimp on specs and make it 720p. 1080p should be the minimum. i have a lg g3 , and s5. i personally like the s5 1080p super bright and vivid amoled better than the QHD G3. We can tell the difference between 720p and 1080p but not so much between 1080p and QHD. perfect size smart phone. decent design. 32gb should be enough for most ppl. s805 will be super powerful , but why 720p ! damn !! im hoping for this to be a rumour and samsung shows up 1080p samoled beautiful display. battery 2200 mah atleast !
