So let me get this correctly - S3 is by far the most popular Android device out there and Samsung did not care to update it to KitKat? If this phone does not merit to be upgraded to KitKat, which one does? So if the market share of Samsung is falling, they should know why - no customer likes to be mistreated. And no, they are not going to force people to upgrade to S5 because when forced, people will chose something else e.g. G3.

Moto=value for price and origin... moreConsidering how horrible my SE phone was (laggy, buggy, liked to unlock itself), I'd say my current Xperia is worlds better. The camera stayed crappy though, but at least this time it's the software which is replaceable.
They're also doing quite good apparently, third most widespread brand is quite fine.

The big issue is security or lack thereof with Android devices. That is the biggest turn off.

Joey, 22 Aug 2014Android is still a mess... i agree, android is a mess and ICS onwards has been removing fundamentals features instead of improving on them for example backing up app data locally- just one example.
Meego and then Jolla should cut the cr@p eventually.

Who cares if colour isn't accurate - they look gorgeous. But in real world I own a nexus 5 because I know what value for money is. If I didn't have the money for a n5 then moto g would be my next choice.

This interferes with the functioning of the touchscreen. I tried some Xperia flagships in shop before and touchscreen was unresponsive due to these brackets - which are there for security purposes. And I know from previous experience that Xperia have very responsive touchscreens.
