Apple iPhone 6 and 6 Plus have just 1GB of RAM

According to early reviews of both new iGadgets the A8 chip is again limited to 1GB of RAM.

ok, even if i agree that iphone6 doesn't require premium specs to run smoothly then why is the price tag premium????

    iOS is a primitive OS designed for low end hardware.
    one app runs at a time...no true multi-tasking.

    so 1gb would be fine.

    remember its a greedy company...wants to make maximum profit so why give users 2gb ram when they can add that next year and make some apps incompatible on 1gb so that people get the new model.

                  Ios does not need more than 1gb of ram to run smooth - okey - i believe ya. But what about apps? How on earth will a game run? I think this decision will be remembered as the turning point. There is no way iphone will be able to cope with the latest developments in software. And why do they needed the 64 bit cpu? FAIL!

                                iPhone OS doesn't need more RAM at all....remember people this isn't android....

                                However I will say this they should have put 2gb of RAM to future proof these phones and for better multi tasking purposes....one thing about iPhones when it comes to multitasking they suck but in terms of performance 1GB ram is more than enough for the tasks it does right now and will run circles around android OS.

                                I still don't like apple personally I think their phones are overpriced and they could have made the specs a bit better especially for the 6 plus with more pixels its driving...

                                    well, I think this post here from anandtech (http://anandtech.com/show/7335/the-iphone-5s-review/5) will be of much help explaining why despite most other flagship devices, especially on the android platform, despite having processor with higher clocking speeds wont perform as good.
