Why does anyone even care how much RAM it has, it only matters what the experience is

Anonymous, 17 Sep 2014Ok, I believe the base OS and most simple apps can make do ... moreMost mobile GPUs use shared memory, they can essentially map a certain portion of main memory and create their own pool of memory.

I remember Nokia saying Symbian don't need fast CPU and don't need a lot of ram, but they priced their phones as if it's equip with high specs. We all know what happened to Nokia. Goodluck with that strategy Apple.

Apple sure knows how to milk a cow. Or maybe not. That cow looks severely dehydrated and malnourished now but it still has an apple logo on it so people are still gonna buy it. I'm sure apple fans would send a message to apple if they balked at a new iPhone release one generation. Having more ram is lot more power efficient that accessing NAND flash constantly. Shame on you apple.

Apple is following Nokia's blueprint to bankruptcy. Build phones with last gen specs and price it at premium because of the brand.

Ok, I believe the base OS and most simple apps can make do with that, but what happens with graphics intensive stuff? Won't 1GB be too little RAM (or does de GPU have some extra dedicated VRAM?) to push all those pixels to the screen in an already computing intensive app or game?

Does it even worth upgrading from iPhone 5s? I've already sold my 16GB iPhone 5s, and thinking of upgrading to 6+ or buying a new iPhone 5s 64GB version.

what do you think guys I should go with?!!

1GB of RAM? Which year is it? Generally yes, iOS doesn't need lots of RAM capacity, but it gives smootehr experience, stable multitasking and other stuff that geeks like... i was waiting for new iPhone but so far i'm getting more and more dissapointed...
