And I sold it to a recycling website, that probably refurbished it.

I have used the site before in the past to change phones.

        This article is inaccurate.

CompareMyMobile does not offer a good trade deal for android phones, this is why the trade in rate for android phones is so low at compareMyMobile.

Android users best option for trading in, is probably with their carrier, or it's best for them to just sell it online for more value. Android phones regardless does not keep it's value as high as iPhones in general even a iphone4s today will have more value then a galaxy s3. this is why that site shows a small percentage of Android users trading in a android phone is because it's not the place to do it.

Im not so surprised that 5s accounts for 20%, approximately half of the reason is as simple as display size, the other half is people who upgrade every year no matter what.

5s is still a great phone and thanx to stellar performance and 64bit support it will be kept alive for years with software updates. Too bad it cannot be upgraded with the new video stabilization from iPhone 6 due to different sensors and no M8 chip but hopefully it will get a rewritten "lite" version that is suited for M7, that will nail it securely in its position as best compact camphone.

What i want to know is who actually records this info and just how accurate is it?

When i bought my first android phone coming from symbian i never did a survey or told the person at the shop i was switching. So i wonder where they get their numbers from. Plus i have a 5c for a work phone so how does that get attributed to the numbers.

checked the source, and it's unreliable. didn't really represent anything. No numbers no graphs, just a link to their site

mean while we have sources from Bloomberg

why didn't gsm arena report this? It's mind bobbling.

The first thing they woukd need is a new battery. But there are dumb people that really don't do any research
Second, you may have gotten 400 USD for your used iPhone but it's also true most of the competition is also cheaper than iPhone when new. You paid more when new, you received more when sold it, no rocket science.

I have never met anyone who has picked an iPhone after a comparsion with another flagship

People tend to get iphones just to get iphones,

But once in the orchard they appear NOT to go back and it would appear not to upgrade either
the iphone 6 is jys a larger display iphone5 and only has the NON phone Apple Pay http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=4910&idPhone2=6378

Apple just want you guys to know that they are dominating when it comes to phone and you can see there that they are more existing apple user than android.
