The " most often traded " tag gives rise to several lines of thought which are as follows :

1. The older gen. phone did not satisfy the user and they were waiting desperately for upgrade.
2. The newer gen. phone is offering such a higher upgrade
value( read : uncompromising hardware and new features ) that the switch is natural to most people BUT in this case refer to gsm arena review of above mentioned newer gen phone and the list of disadvantages is quite laaarge, which brings me to my next point :
3. There are isheep who will do the needful no matter what.
4. Full stop. End of story.

this shows that android users are more sensible when looking for upgrades.. unlike apple fans.. and after using android it is impossible to switch to the super limited ios

In UK, where CompareMyMobile is operating, iPhones are a lot more expensive than Android phones. The fact that iPhones out-sold all Android flagships combined even at a price premium means if the price are equal, most people would get an iPhone.

It is the same as Mercedes outselling Audi, BMW and Jaguar combined even though it is more expensive.

Android phones depreciate a lot, e.g. less than a year old LG G2 32GB model trade-in amt ($100) is less than a 3 years old iPhone 4S 32GB ($110) as per Gazelle. There is no point in taking huge hit by trading in Android phones..better to sell it in eBay. Reason for more iPhone trade-in is they hold value much longer.

The 12% of Android users that switched to iPhone is a larger number than the 32% of Galaxy S5 users. iPhones are selling at far greater number so 12% of the 25,000,000 iPhone 6 sold so far means 3 million switcher.

Wouldn't it be mostly due to 2 year contracts that have ended? It's exactly the same on 'S' cycle iPhones.

I don't know why Apple ever thought that a bigger screen was what mades Android users stick to Android.

Once you are in the Android Ecosystem, you can move around between different manufactures. It's not all about the size Apple, Yes the 6+ plus has sold well... to people who already owned an iPhone, what does this tell you aside from the fact that they were craving a larger screen for a long time.

Android can be a lot more customisable where as Apple devices are the same, I have never seen two iPhones from different owners that felt like it had their own personal touch to it. With Android you see some very different looking home screens with content that is far more suited to the people who own them.

For all the iFans that say lots of Android users are flocking to Apple, this article is unbiased proof as we know that a lot of People writing for GSM are rather fond of Apple.

To Quote Elton John... And I think we all know he was talking about Android and how great it is compared to Apple and it' 70% pure profit margin.

"There's more to be seen than can ever be seen
More to do than can ever be done

Some say eat or be eaten
Some say live and let live
But all are agreed as they join the stampede
You should never take more than you give

                      In the circle of life"

As the GSMArena review summed up, it's hard unless you're an iPhone user to justify getting an iPhone 6, as if you compare against a Z3 Compact or Galaxy Alpha; outside of the iOS ecosystem; you can get a comparable phone, for less cash either sim free or on contract

First of all, I am no fan of Crapple or Samesong. The iphone's 8MP icrap camera has been running for sometime. All same quality. Video is crap too. Even a 720P of a 120 or 240fps slow motion video look crappy when played at 720P. No NFC connectivity/No Bluetooth/No IR, Video playback sound sucks and a bad 1810 MaH battery..The Crapple claimed the Bend was only for few of their phones they have manufactured and it is now the same story for every phone they have manufactured. What a bunch of liars. What are you going to pay for in your new iPhone 6? The idiots keep launching new models. But,there are no smart features till the date. One thing is for sure, they didn't forget to keep the prices high reaching to a 900-1100$. Also, Crapple for the survival did pay DxO Mark in huge to grade their iphone cameras as No.1 phone camera. However No Picture comparisons,No Quality benchmark tests, nothing. Just the Claim, grade No:1 Camera/video phone in the market. Bigots..DxO Mark says its camera surpassed the Lumia 1020 too.41MP of crisp details people..Seriously??Note4 and LG G3 were not there in the comparison. Cheap gimmicks !!! The iphone, It comes in different series and sizes..But afterall it is just a sheep. It is the herd mentality to fall just for its design and not the features..

Why? It's the most stable because it's not running 64bit on 1GB of ram.

Not really a great suprise iPhone 5 people are upgrading as the 5S was bot really a great improvement.

It's amazing to see that if you bought a new iPhone 6 16GB for £539 from Apple that it will instantly lose £139 if you recycle it:
                              http://www.comparemymobile.com/recycle/apple/iphone-6-16gb.html

Better to go to eBay if your selling a phone
