Nougat update starts hitting LG G5 units in Canada as well

Himanshu, 20 December 2016

Over a month after LG announced that it has started rolling out the Nougat update to its G5 flagship smartphone, the update has started hitting units in Canada as well. There have been user reports that carrier Bell has started pushing out the update to G5 units on its network.

A couple of other major Canadian carriers including Rogers and Fido will officially start rolling out the update tomorrow (December 21), although some users are reporting that the update is available already.

As is usually the case with OTA roll-outs, it may take sometime for the update to hit your device. Meanwhile, if you feel impatient, you can manually check for it by heading to your handset's Settings menu.
