Samsung Galaxy S23 series gets the camera-improving June update in Europe

Sagar, 24 June 2023

The major camera-improving June 2023 update released by Samsung for the Galaxy S23 series in Asian countries last week is now rolling out in Europe for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.

The update comes with firmware version S91xBXXU2AWF1 and weighs 2.2GB, so make sure you download it over a Wi-Fi connection to avoid additional mobile data charges by your carrier.

The June 2023 update bumps up the Android security patch level on the Galaxy S23 trio to June 2023, but more importantly, it fixes the camera autofocus issues, improves Night Mode processing, and adds a 2x zoom option to the Portrait Mode in the default camera app.

Additionally, the June update brings smoother One UI transition animations and improvements to the haptic feedback. It should also fix the HDR issues the default Camera app faces in certain lighting conditions.

If you live in Europe and haven't received this update on your Galaxy S23 smartphone, you can check for it manually by navigating to your phone's Settings > Software update menu.

More regions will receive this update in the coming weeks. However, according to tipster Ice Universe, China and South Korea will get a different version of the AWF1 firmware with more optimizations.

After the last update, the image from the 10x camera appears greenish compared to x3/x1/x0. I never had this effect before the update. Anyone else having this trouble?
