I mean a real 'hands free' not a gismo that needs me to poke my finger in my ear (finding a button)while driving. Fair to say the phone is incredible value for money and apart from lack of volume it 'ticks' all the boxes, but if I can get a real working headset I would be delighted, cheers, Wrinkly.

antonc, 13 May 2014When I downloaded the videos they did not show straight up ... moreIn what way did you "download the videos"? Was it that you're taking a video from the phone's camera, or put a video in the memory card and tried to play it in the phone?
When capturing video from the phone, making correctly-oriented video captures mean you need to rotate your phone 90° counter-clockwise. This phone doesn't have accelerometer to be able to set the correct video orientation for you.
For fixing videos permanently, you may have to re-encode them with rotation settings, or slap an orientation/rotation flag to its metadata. (please consult Google for that, there are many ways)

muds, 21 May 2014iam very brand concious,, bit confuse to buy nokia 108 bcz ... moreAlthough I admit it has dumbed-down features compared to older Nokia models, some of the statements here are not true or not entirely true.
-It does have keypad lock, only with a different keystroke (Power Key -> Left Selection Key/Top-left Key) compared to earlier Nokia models (Menu key -> * key). Took me awhile to get it though.
-It has an option to determine how long the backlight stays up, though provides only two options: Normal is 20seconds, Extended is 30 seconds. Normal is already considerably short enough to save you some battery, although Extended is too short, in my opinion. ...It does have this issue of the low-light backlight remaining on though.
-Switching from General to Silent and back is a breeze (hold # key), although yeah, switching to other profiles could take longer.
-You can set your wallpapers to something else besides stock wallpapers, though pictures are rotated 90° clockwise, and the resulting picture quality for the wallpaper isn't good. (introduces obvious JPEG artifacts and discoloration)

Inbox: If I am not mistaken with the count, the Inbox can store only up to 200 SMSs, SIM messages excluded. Unlike Sent Msgs & Drafts, old Inbox messages do not get deleted when there is not enough space for the incoming SMS.
If you tend to send a large number of texts, this is /not/ the phone for you. Older Nokia models like C1-01 has more storage for messages than this.

iam very brand concious,, bit confuse to buy nokia 108 bcz so much varity of fune available in market with same price and more features,,, but,,
i had experince that is that made from china??? so much mistake i will call blunderssssssssssssssss,,
no keypad lock option,,
no use of secruity lock ,,u can view msg without code,,
no optin to decrease back light time(phone light reamin on if not in use too)
no voice recorder,,
no camera sound off option
tunes are just like fake sound quality,,,
no option to switch to profile easily,,u have to go meanu than setting than profile etc or add in goto,,aaah
few n beakar wallpapers
u feell for china set,,,,
so i advice to go for other mobile or u can buy q mobile or voice mobile instead of this,,

Fantastic phone for what it is:
+ Great audio quality (AMR-NB support)
+ Battery life
+ Simple calendar with reminders
+ Good keyboard
+ no voice leak like other cheap Nokias
+ no internet rubbish
This is the only cheap and simple phone that openly support the AMR-NB audio codec. The other one is Nokia 109, but that one is not available in my country.
Highly recommended for those who wants to talk, send sms and be waken up in the morning.
