i''ll say thiz phone had the specs needed enough for those who are simple browser users... hmmm i''ll suggest based on my research if you want more specs higher on thiss go for nokia lumia 520 and lumia 620 still can afford phones .. and it only depends on the user there's no device suites to all users so choose wisely and economically...for me nokia is still the best coz they start it all connecting people ha ha ha

Nokia Asha 503 facebook page is telling that the screen size is 3.2", whereas elsewhere it is mentioned as 3". Who is correct? 3" (and 133 ppi)screen would be a complete deal breaker ...

the prime moto of nokia about launching these phones is that .....
                  minimum specs and max performance....
so guys dont worry much about the ram or cpu/gpu ...
this will be a killer in the market.
                  my guess..
should come with 256 ram and 1Ghz cpu..

btw, 64MB of RAM is just fine with my asha 501. asha platform shouldn't need too much RAM.

for me its ok the screen size of nokia asha has, the bigger the screen size, the more snatcher or a notorious would interest to your mega big screensize phone.

                              Simplicity is beauty.

For me, its ok for me the screen size of asha 503, why? Because its snatchable, snatcher while your walking, or just at the shop, anyone can steal it from you. For me, I dont like mobile phones with a big screen size, like cruize, or Lumia. I just want to have a small screen. Sometimes I think if I have bigger screen, anyone around me look me as boastful. So I just want to be comfortable at the screen size of asha 503. Good Job Nokia.

The Asha 503 certainly promises a lot -- superb build qualiity and a very capable S40 OS, for its intended audience.

If S40 had offered wifi hotspot and smart dialling facilities, it would have easily been my favourite OS for a Nokia phone.

After all, the S40 OS offers all the basic features that I need in a phone:

                                  1. Calls
                                  2. Text messages
                                  3. Social chat apps (whatsapp, line, we chat)
                                  4. Internet browsing
                                  5. Clock
                                  6. Calculator
                                  7. Calendar
                                  8. Wifi
                                  9. Bluetooth
                                  10. Radio
                                  11. Voice memo
                                  12. Music player

Now, why cant Nokia provide a bigger screen for the Asha 503? Or even, the similar specifications of a Lumia 520, but merely changing the OS from Microsoft to S40. That simple and practical OS alone would bring down the price of the S40 "Asha 520" in comparison with the MS Lumia 520.

This dual approach will only benefit Nokia, as most people I know of, presently buy a Nokia phone for its build quality and only a few have bought them for the OS.

I feel that Nokia should encourage competition from within its brand, as it will ensure that people are still buying Nokia products, irrespective of the model or OS.

As Steve Jobs is reported to have said: “If you don’t cannibalize yourself, someone else will.” And in the words of Walter Isaacson from Steve’s Biography “So even though an iPhone might cannibalize sales of an iPod, or an iPad might cannibilize sales of a laptop, that did not deter him”.

Nokia is, I believe, in a unique position as it has two operating systems, Windows and S40. Selling either of these OSs in various permutations and hardware should not worry Nokia, since it will offer something different to the customer. For example, what should stop Nokia from selling a 5" Lumia 1320, but with an S40 OS?

Personally, I like the limited multitasking facility of a tried and tested S40 OS, coupled with the hardware of a Lumia. Limited multitasking ensures that there are no unnecessary apps running in the background and hogging valuable RAM.
