Android have trouble displaying PDF / Office files. Load so slow.. do not use it if you are into business. You have better productivity with Lumia series or iDevices then you have from a junk android flagship phone.

You can scream at your management to make better android apps.. but they are always stuck with microsoft windows /office or iOS apps.

Instead of going against the wave.. just spend abit more and ride it.

As review states, there was no office suite in Note 3, There is a Polaris Office 5 pre - installed. We won't be able to see in the menu. But it is in hidden state. If you open any MS - OFFICE file, it will prompt. :)

No Blackberry Z10 and Z30, both of which are very relevant in todays world where Android can pose corporate security risks. In fact the Z30 is a great mobile by any standards (yes, I have one)
No mention of RAM for low end Android - a must because they are very poor performers with low 512 RAM and useless for upgrading - Windows is a far better low RAM performer.
Even 1 of RAM is now out of date for Android os.
No mention of best support base for Android for updates which are critical - some manufacturers have been very tardy with updates.
No mention of likely resale value which is important for upgrading mobiles.
No mention of simplicity and easy of use.
No mention of superfluous software and unnecessary bloatware.
No mention of mobile phone security, which is now critical.
In my opinion there is just too much focus on so called specs and not enough focus on function, security, camera (yes) and will the mobile let you down in 12 months time with updates and resale value.
By nearly everyone's preoccupation on specs, these mobiles are already out of date with the ranting about 8 cores etc.
There is a need to get back to basics with real quality and efficient operating systems devoid of spyware and bloatware, wrapped around sufficient specs to last the distance all at a decent price point.

A great article. Although, the order of those phones in each category is random, it should be noted. Anyway, a great idea. Just make sure to keep it updated or remove once it becomes dated.

Anonymous, 04 Nov 2013iPhone 5S is the only phone I can recommend to my family an... moreYes, an expensive limited device.

Haha, no office suite (easily remedied with an app from the Play Store) and big size were the only cons for the Note 3?

No matter how you explain how is not water-resistant, or is back and sides are plastic, or lack of finger print scanner, or how funny you'd look putting the Note 3 against your ear during calls, it has the most features, versatility and power efficiency.

It has the best to offer in one package.

Anonymous, 04 Nov 2013The iPhone is expensive, but you get more support for it in... moreI can assure that the Note 3 faux-leather design appeals to business people than Iphone. No matter what u say Iphone is just an over priced piece of sh*t, is it about gaming? taking notes? multi-tasking? Watching video? Taking videos? Note 3 rains supreme over them all, by the way size is no issue, since u can resize the screen area to a smaller side and use one hand easily, not to mention the stylus

Those were some pretty lame cons on the note 3, " phablet is not everyone's cup of tea" I mean come on really, that's a con? LOL

In the 400-500 price range, you are recommending a Galaxy S4, even though the Nexus 5 is a better and more powerful phone? Stupid no? Nexus 5 should be recommended in all price ranges above 300..
