I love my Nexus 7 but using it portrait gives not enough horizontal space and wasted vertical space. I've no more interest in iOS, but I can't wait for the iPad like ratio experience.

          From the article:

"Google has exerted more control over the design of this generation of Nexus devices. We can tell because they come from two very different manufacturers - Motorola makes the phones, HTC makes the tablet - but the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 show a clear family resemblance. Much more than the Nexus 4/5 and the Nexus 7 (2012 and 2013) ever did."

Erm, what? The Nexus 5 and 2013 Nexus 7 look more similar than the 6 and the 9. The 6 isn't unified design with the 9, it's just a blown up Moto X.

Was really looking to a 3rd Nexus 7 announcement too :((

Google going head to head with Apple in terms of pricing with both the nexus 9 and the nexus 6 is IMHO a big mistake.
The success of past gen nexi have solely existed due to price. Would you rather buy an iPhone 6 or a Nexus 6. An iPad Mini 3 or a Nexus 9.

Now there's ART over Dalvik as default, and in my opinion art is awesome which I run in my phone. Now comes the catch here, art uses more storage space than dalvik, and these nexus devices have miniscule storage space.

R.I.P Nexus 9. The wrong decision and the worst Google Android nexus tablet ever release.

what? 4:3 suddenly became better for web browsing when almost every school and office display nowadays is using an lcd panel with 16:9 aspect ratio. so these lcds on laptops and desktop computers are not good for web browsing? what a logic!

Bet on, that will sell worst , too. And this "premium metal rim" BS will not help at all.
Well, Nexus have never been meant to be the best, but so far offered good package.
Same is with the Nexus6 phone.
