Why spend time and money pulling files off from the cloud? You are just helping telco to milk even more money from you because you always run out of data capacity!

I want all my data on the device itself. Google gathers enough information about me without them having all my media and personal files to rifle through

google shoud've just cut down the storage option to 8gb for wifi model and 16gb for lte to make it cheaper

ugh..who the hell uses sd card these days, 16gb is already huge imo, just upload all your photos & videos to the cloud and use google play music for your audio listening.

And detailed Antutu results please to see multitasking, RAM, 3D and internal memory test results.

bm, 24 Oct 2014Why such a negative preview. This has a higher resolution ... moreiPad Air has exactly same resolution. Judging on photos the screen in Nexus appears to be mediocre IPS. Angles appears to be good, but brightness looses a lot on those angles - either just brightness isn't good enough or there is a gap between screen and glass. Colors appears to be not so great on those shots.

I am happy to see 4:3 screen ratio on a mainstream Android tablet!
16x10 work well on phones, but suck on tablets, That's one of the main reasons I've always preferred iPads.
This looks good and it's the Android tablet to beat.

You say "Android 5.0 Lollipop is supposed to bring both performance enhancements and power savings."
Every time there is a new Android version there is much fan fare and ranting. But why cant Google get Android right on the first attempt. And also fill in the security holes. Is this just not common sense. And get rid of the Google spyware and bloatware. That would be nice. Yep, and nice tablet in a crowded market.

They could have dropped the LED flash, and dropped the price accordingly. As things stand right now, this is going to have a hard time competing on price against the old edition iPad Air ($300!).

The price to customers isn't yet unviled in Russia. None in Google or HTC Russia knows anything about it. But 569 euro will most probably results in 29990₽. Yet Shield Tablet 32GB LTE cost 19990₽ and already available.
Google and HTC needs to rethink pricing policy.

Latest rumors says Russian distributors have boycotted Nexus 9 because HTC insist on way too high wholesale prices.

Why such a negative preview. This has a higher resolution screen than the iPad yet you focus on negative. You point out that it's below 300 ppi and there's "jagginess" in some elements. Yet in your review of the iPad air, which has a lower resolution you titled it a "premium screen" which you could "easily deem" the "best in the market". There were no negative comments.
Why is it that the lesser aspects of the iPad get glowing descriptors but for the Nexus they are couched in negative terms. Why didn't you criticise the iPad for being below 300 ppi, which it is and having jagginess on some elements. You said the Nexus "borrows" the iPad's resolution, implying some secondary or diminished status, when it would have been more correct to say it "bettered" the iPad's resolution.
Look at the conclusion to the review. You called the iPad "another win", yet for the Nexus said you're going to look for things that can "derail that dream of a bright future". Really? Why aren't you looking for things to derail the bright future of the iPad?

You stated single core performance is better than all except perhaps the latest Apple cores, while multi-core performance is on par with the big.LITTLE octa-cores.
However even the latest Geekbench and others have shown that the K1 Denver processor is faster then a iPhone 6 or 6+, even in single core performance.
There are lots of other references as well. Just look it up on the internet.

Love to own Nexus 9. Great looks, powerful processor, boom sound speaker and a Nexus device makes it worth buying
