Thats right Sony has pulled a fast one of a sort, you see whilst there are both sensor and optical based versions of Steadyshot that Sony employ across their digital camera range, neither of which are used int their imx220 series sensors. It's digital im affraid, it works by cropping the image and then using software (not hardware) to stabilize. They've called it Steadyshot just to it a better marketing name than 'DIS', but it is im affraid digital.
Now as to the optical vs sensor shift debate, well like cmos vs ccd,digital vs film, jpeg vs raw and on and on etc, it is in the end subjective, there are pros and cons to both.

Say also who need Fingerprint I draw a sign same thing just not tell anything about mobile and something so Not Important. Never had use it anyway when if get my fingerprint photo on Internet and Pay that way just not Safe need Real and Same Protection use on Computor today in mobile so not get it Hacked...

I own a Z2 and use 15 pixel take facerekognition smile and use Multifocus, ISO aoto,meeting Multi.
when start Camera that set come up as a Automode for me take Awsome Photo`s.
Use a ScanDisk 32 gig Ultra are to update it with ScanDisk 64 gig Extreme.
just say my Old Xperia S still work just fine my son have it.
But much talk about how much Crap Sony Camera are Why do Ipine 6,LGg4, Samsung, Huawei and more Use Xperia S to Z Camera inside ???? they use Sony Xperia Old Camera Tech inside how much Crap can it be. Sony did this first 3 month of year Earn 1,2 Billion$ on Only Iphone6 sell get pay 20$\unit so say when LGg4 and Samsung put up there pay Sony get a Lot in Pay in sell this Old Camera Tech and allmost everyone use it in mobile today are Nokia\microsoft and Think M9 had that one..........

It has extra +speaker, sd810 not sd808,the most expensive camera sensor, pricier bulid than g4...
Should compare price to other big name flags, not chinese ones
Cause ofcourse chinese are cheaper....

FHD costs less than QHD, ofcourse there is a cost to add finger print scanner for hard ware and software, let make it simple.No fingerprint scanner means No cost for it, right?, and there is cost for OIS, again No cost for OIS. SO, Z4 should be CHEAPER.. Z4 has OIS called steady shot? its clear you even dont know what OIS is. We cant justify $800 Z4..

Effective it is yes, about the same as the iphones 5S and 6 (which are regarded as among the best 'dis' phone camera's) but it is not ois!
If your going prattle on like your some kind of expert then get your facts right!

Fingerprint scanner, ok, but to most unnecessary, just an additional security feature, not in any way advancement to user experience...
OIS?
All Z Xperias have OIS, but it is sensor based (and called Steadyshot), not lens based...go google what is more convenient and more effective...

It would be nice to review and test the high definition high bit Bluetooth feature LDAC, apparently this is decent audio feature with satisfy the audiophile with added no compromise wireless feature, sadly, compatible headphones are still pricy

And... moreHe is probably trolling, yesterday I tested side by side an iPhone 6 vs my Z3c in low light shots with and without flash, both on 8MP and I even stayed in superior auto and the results were equally good... The iPhone images were shaper but a lot noisier, color were truer though...While the Z3c images were softer but with very little noise, and color was not as real but more light came into the image even without flash.
The Z3c is definitely on par with the other flagships of 2014

Non user replaceable battery should not be a disadvantage for a waterproof phone.
