Dual heatpipes, 25 Nov 2015All in all is trolling, the Amoled display not such good, I... moreWell that is not the mistake of the AMOLED panel itself. S6 and Note 5 have a basic mode where the color temperature is 6653K closest to the reference value of 6500K among all smartphones.
AMOLED's are capable of displaying natural and lifelike colors, only thing is that the manufacturers should add the appropriate mode. Except Samsung , Nokia and a few others , they usually don't because 85% people prefer vibrant and saturated colors

4k is useless without vr. Sony has stupid marketing plan. They should sell z5 together with vr utilities.

Vivo and/or Sharp will be the first ones to incorporate an always ON 4k didplay. Technically Samsung too cause I'm pretty sure they have one in store for CES soon.
Samsung 4k AMOLED. Hot giddigy damn. Will be the best one out of then all.

I remember the days when people are crying over 1080p display, saying that it is overkill and 720p is more than enough.
Whether we like it or not, 4K is the future of smartphone displays. It's just that, Sony implemented it first!
The detractors will surely eat their words in the future. I'm afraid of the increasing population of obese!

Displaymate, professional reviewers of display , rate Note 5 as the best display available. The SuperAMOLED's have been winning the display wars since the time of Note 3, so much so that even Apple is considering using AMOLED displays from Samsung in upcoming iPhones,
Also let me remind you that SuperAMOLED displays have inherently better response time and viewing angles than LCD's. No additional tech is needed to make them better thereby reducing costs in the long run. Additionally , AMOLED displays are thinner than LCD's therefore the world's thinnest phones have AMOLED displays.

Plus samsung uses pentile matrix which results in less amount of subpixels per pixel therefore a samsung amoled pentile display will have poorer quality as compared to a same resolution non-pentile display. A lower resolution pentile display will only make the matter worse.

sony's marketing plan by pulling more users for premium phones but it will be uttery failure by next year bcz they processor sucks while gaming that display is goona juice up they whole battery

See, there's a general rule...
To make Overall detail double, you would have to go 4 times on resolution because its a square.
So, basically, compared to a 2K, a 4K screen is about 1.4 times better on details approx. mathematically.
If you combine that with an unusual pixel arrangement, then you might lose any significant advantage from the above factor too.

Let's see if this phone ticks all my preferences for a new smartphone:
Waterproof body, check. Micro SD compatibility, check (I have a lot of flac files from 3 64gb SD cards, and 2 64gb SD cards with pictures from my Canon and Sony full frame cameras). Beautiful design, check. Dual front speakers, check. Bluetooth LDAC, check (I use Sony Mdr Bluetooth headphones). PS4 compatibility, check. 4k video recording for more than 10 minutes, check (upload to YouTube will be easier than ever, with quality to boot). Easy connection to a 4k TV, without resolution downscaling, check. Well, it's never been easy to buy a new smartphone. Thank you, Sony. PS. I'm typing from an S6, and also a favorite. But I don't want my SD cards collecting dust.
