1. Use a different camera app with different processing algorithms like Open Camera, Cardboard Camera, etc. (the most obvious one)
2. Use Manual Mode and lower its ISO (not always the best but still should be considered being tested)
DxOMark agrees that the XZ is easily one of the top tier flagship camera phone if not the best one

Jatin, 06 Nov 2016All are saying that Xperia xz shoots better in manual mode ... morei dont miss anything even on manual mode.. if you know the settings you needed. its just a matter of seconds to adjust.. same as adjusting a DSLR/Mirrorless camera.. i shoot Mirrorless aswell which takes more time to adjust due to A LOT of settings can be adjusted.. but no, i don't miss anything.. it wouldn't take long if you know what you are doing.. most people complaining and saying that it is not a dslr, most likely are the ones who doesn't shoot manual at all.. if people doesn't even know how to adjust manual on a phone, then don't even mention DSLRs and Mirrorless camera here.. there are tons of settings can be found there and a skilled photographer doesn't miss anything..

All are saying that Xperia xz shoots better in manual mode and it isn't a fair test now let me ask you that how many photographic moments you want to miss by shooting in manual mode. Most of the times most of the people when it actually comes to shoot something we actually rely on auto mode and if that can't give you the desired results then it's senseless to use that camera .

Ive seen some manual mode comparison shots between Xperia X and S7, some shots were clearly better taken by the X.
And yeah, Sony's auto mode is screwed up. Half the time it doesn't work properly.

another thing, please don't compare manual mode nonsense. wanna compare? fine, have a look at g5 vs xz on full manual. see for yourself. i dont own g5 (mine is s6) so no.. i'm not a fanboy.

And telling the XZ camera sucks Is also wrong. It's camera is much better than the Pixel's.

but why would you assume that lowering it, would make the XZ better than the G5.
this test shows everything, thousands of voters chose the G5 (for a reason)
the XZ sucks believe it, accept it, & stop defending for it.
i own an S7 edge yet i wouldn't say that it was better than the G5.

The problem of Xperia, is the high ISO in superior mode, i have a Z3C and every photo in low light with a strong light (like a neon), the software bump the exposure and you cant see the real form of neon, i always need, set the ISO manually for 200 or 400.
In daylight the xperia software use apply na oversharpening in images, you take a photo of a Tree and the leafs look like a sponge.

Superior auto mode in Xperia tends to bump up the ISO levels too high, unlike other phone cameras. Which is why manual mode for XZ is better.

so if i lower the ISO, the end result will be an underexposed image or a blurry one, why should i do that ?!!

S7's camera was overly overrated. S7 always performed poorly in all blind tests.
G5's strange modular design wasn't really a feature, it was one of the biggest drawbacks of the phone.
HTC 10, Xperia XZ are phones which are good all rounded phones. Most won't care about standout features, they care about the whole package.

it's not fair to compare between sony's manual mode vs other phone's auto mode.
