Blind shootout revealed: iPhone 7 vs. Galaxy S7 vs. Xperia XZ vs. LG G5

17 October 2016
If only smartphone manufacturers would go in sync with those flagship launches. But they don't and come fall we have the new iPhone, as usual, and the Sony Xperia XZ this time, joining the spring children Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG G5.

The XZ isn't good enough to run Google's BR platform. As for standout features on other phones, the Galaxy S7 has an amazing camera, one of the best screens on the market, and is overall one of the best phones you can buy. The LG G5 has that strange modular design, a removable battery, and the second wide-angle camera on the back. The XZ just doesn't really stand out in any ways.

You can watch many XZ speed test videos, it's as fast as or faster than other flagships out here.
And as for Daydream VR, no where does it say it needs 4GB of RAM. As of now the requirements are
"every Daydream phone has low persistence display, no ghosting, low latency, high quality SoC (system on a chip) for rendering at 60fps and high quality sensors."
And as for standout features, tell me, what standout features do the rest have? Like the HTC 10, S7 etc.

Anonymous, 19 Oct 2016It's priced like other flagships. Pixel costs more.It doesn't have the specs like other flagships, though. A 1080p screen for $700 is so not worth it, and with only 3 gigabytes of RAM, this phone isn't even compatible with the DayDream VR headset. These are the specs of last year, but repackaged and overpriced. This phone has no standout features, and it doesn't do anything particularly well.

let me explain to you, why you are wrong
yes the xperia has a larger sensor which is supposed to outperform the competition, yet it wasn't tuned to perform as it should (compared to any korean manufacturer or even the iPhone for that matter -which has a tiny 1/3" sensor- )
second, the increased size of the sensor is only beneficial if you have a fast lens (f/2.0 by todays mobile phone standards is nothing special)
last july i purchased the (Sony RX1R II), so i think i know what I'm talking about.

At the bottom of the page they compare shots taken by the Z5 in different ISO levels. You can clearly see as the ISO increases, noise also increases.
To reduce noise you have to change the MP to 8MP, although I don't know if this still applies for XZ.
So yea, lower ISO means lower noise.
Superior auto bumps of ISO values even at bright light, you can find articles in XDA regarding this.

But reviewers use auto mode and complain about the noise... Noise can easily be lowered by lowering ISO at manual mode.

Well, i'am so suprisingly when look at results. Somehow, lg g5 win almost entire vote. So, now i'am wondering, how exactly DXo Marks make a rating for camera phone score?

My conclusion is, i said yes. Lg g5 looks like make a great picture at daylight even in low light, and it's the most underrated phone (like lg v20). iPhone is 'meh' (just overrated). Sony is good but daylight picture like use Polariser Filter or ND filter, a sky is so blue and contras is quite good. Samsung is good too, f1.8 maybe make entire picture like almost over brightness.

And please, add google pixel. Thanks

no one cares about color accuracy (as long as they're not messed up)
a vivid punchy look (with a little bet of warmness in WB is fine)
what most people need is a crisp, yet not over processed image, & thats why most voters chose the G5 in this poll
