Wow! how bad the cameras are, all of them: grainy, overprocessed, high contrast, soft detail. Almost unusable at night. I wonder if this is just Exynos issue.

I got the S24 (base) and came from a S20 (base) with 12GB of RAM. First, I don't miss the extra 4GB, my phone has been working great. I really wanted to stay the same size or go smaller, and the S24 allowed me to do that.

My phone is the Snapdragon chipset, it has been working great, can hit 8+ hours of screen on time (SOT) during the day. My S20 was struggling with 5 hours.

I am very pleased with the upgrade so far. I don't care about UWB. 12GB would have been nice, but not a show stopper. Phone works great. Give it a try.

The noise in the photos is extreme at telephoto 3x, even the main camera in the photo with the snail, the bush is extremely blurred, this only proves that bananagate is always present in the review and not only in photos of text and documents. When I compare the photos from OP12, I just have to smile. OP12 defeats S24 in full!
After all, I have an S24+ at home, I know how bad it is, the photos I see here only confirmed it for me

Exynos 2400 provides flagship performance only for the first 5 minutes, and then throttled to the performance level of Dimensity 1080 lol.

The price is kinda justifiable, since you get the 7 years of update support.

Yep I recognize the telltale signs of exynos processing. This in fact looks worse than s23 fe to me.

Is the S24 any good? Or shall I buy the iPhone 15? Similar price but need an upgrade but people are constantly complaining about the battery life. I’m unsure. Any help would be appreciated. I’m coming from iPhone 12

80% increase in pixel count is not insignificant when it comes to graphics rendering or battery drain no matter the illumination level.

MarOMG, 01 Feb 20247 years of OS updates sounds great. But would you want it? ... moreI just bought a S24 to replace my S8.
It is only this month that I started to see applications that cannot be upgraded or installed because the Android version is not supported anymore. Also, I had to switch to Brave to navigate on the Internet. Other browsers are now too slow on the S8. And of course I had to replace the battery one year ago.
Note that I don't play on the S8. I used it for communication and internet browsing. In average 5 hours SOT.
I think I should be able to use the S24 for 6 years.
