Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 review: Power play

16 November 2011
Tablets are cool. But they have a purpose too. Larger screens, higher resolution and more mileage out of the battery make them better suited for certain tasks. That’s why people are not only fascinated by them but do end up actually...

And btw about the overhyping i did not see any overhype on this device, If you really really need over hyping go check iphone 4 and the new 4S thats what i call over hyping.

"The right kind of users will be easily convinced of the advantages"

yes indeed. In fact, for the buniness, this would be a perfect phoneblet. There are the people who need this then why not?, especially the spec is pretty awesome and the real usage is good as well according to the review.

Certainly Samsung will gain some market share of this.

I'm sorry but that's how I see it and I share GSMArena's view on this device. Just because people like me isn't buying into the G Note's hype makes me a troll? Oh, please. This is an open forum and everyone can share their views. What do you expect? Make this forums bias and pro-Samsung? lol

AnonD-14018, 16 Nov 2011you wont be able to tell the diffrence between rgb or penti... moreGSMArena is right about this "phoneblet". It's a niche device and that's it. There's nothing to be wowed on this device. It's basically just like the rest of Samsung's dozens with a bigger screen. It doesn't really bring anything impressive. Samsung fans are over hyping this device and I applaud GSMArena for seeing through the hype.

I say GSMArena did a great job with this review. They called it fair and square.

Very badly reviewed. You guys at GSM arena don't know how to write and what should be written, all the goods are just like that mentioned and those which aren't noticable are made look like a disappoint.

This is a fantastic phone, wins in every department. I am very fond of mobiles, changes once in 9 months or less, using them as much as I can, I was a big fan of HTC, until I buy "NOTE".

One simple word about this is Marvellous, fantastic, exceptional, beautiful....Oh wait, didn't I mentioned one word?....:) Ouch I am carried away by its performance.

And GSMarena i'm kinda dissapointed on this review. Mostly was just copy paste from other reviews. No WOW's no "we like that" . You guys lost your touch when it comes to reviews. You just made the most powerfull superphone seem average and dissapointing.

I've ordered this phone and am glad to hear the call quality is excellent as the beta units had bad reviews on this. I think its not a small tablet, but a large powerful smartfone with some tablet like features. This will sell well but when ics is out for it there will be a boom in sales, trust me, I'm not a Dr...

I'm sorely tempted by the Note. I want it. It seems to be the perfect balance between big size screen and portability. I also find it reassuring that Samsung provides a bay for the pen in the phone, despite the phone's very slim profile.

I have had this phone since the 4th Nov and have had the Galaxy S before this.

Galaxy S made me a Android fan but the Note has consolidated that.

The phone is so powerful and the screen is so good that it impresses everyone who has laid their eyes on it.

                                    The experience is excellent.

I know for a fact that this phone has sold well and should continue to do so, the size of it has NOT put off people and for me i think its a major asset.

                                    Good work Samsung.

I'm confused between 'SG-Note' and 'SG-tab 7.0 Plus'. I am more towards Note just because of its Stylus and Drawing feature. All i want to know if this feature is Hardware based or Software based and if its Software based, then after Updating to Android 4.0 ICS, will SG-Tab 7.0 Plus be equal to SG-Note regarding this feature because ICS includes full support for stylus input?
