Nokia Lumia 620 preview: First look

21 December 2012
The Lumia 820 and Lumia 920 give Nokia all the presence they need in the higher WP8 circles, but a smart maneuver has helped HTC emerge as a serious threat in the lower midrange. The Finns, who are obviously having none of that, responded swiftly to the Windows Phone 8S...

as far as i remember,
the reason Nokia adopted WP over Android was because they think WP are 'unique' and no one else will have it.
and now Nokia is just one of many manufacturers that using WP with all the same boring tile interface.
not unique at all.
and they're also beaten by HTC.
it's really one bad decision made by Elop the trojan horse.

Android is buggy as hell. It still lags. There are couple apps out there for watching flash videos on WP8. Android is not polished like WP8 and iOS. Adobe stopped making Flash for mobile phones awhile ago. I have used latest Android, iPhone 4S and latest WP8. Android is very frustrating with bugs, freezes, and reboots doesn't matter which Android phone you have. Go with WP8 or iPhones.

Nokia please add call blocker (whitelist /blacklist) feature, then I'll jump to lumia immediately. Seriously.
That's the only thing prevented me to buy any wp8 device.

Samsung wp7 had that feature year ago. We know we can't depend on microsoft on this one.
That's why I ask nokia to add this feature.

                            So is the shutter-button a two-stage?

For me the key selling point is the Drive app. With almost every other navigation service you need a data plan. The free offline ones are inferior to Nokia Maps both in terms of UI and content. And the paid cost money and don't offer anything significantly better. If I could get it on Android (by Nokia that is) I'd go for it. But for now I think I've finally found the successor of my trusty old Nokia 5800XM. Can't wait for a full review and a chance to test it in a local store. I only wish it had FM transmitter.

Is it possible to have Flash Player in Windows Phone 8 to wiev Flash videos in the browser? I´m using Xperia with Android 4.0.4 right now and Flash Player is a must for me. If im not mistaken Windows Phone 8 is written very similarly compared to the PC version, so Flash player should be supported, but is there any app for it? Windows Phone 8 looks like a very nice and user friendly os, but I like to have a Flash Player with my phone, because there are lots of moments when I can´t use a pc, so I use my phone for surfing the net.

Htc 8s is quite a lovely device, but the only way it could get advantage toward lumia 620 is a lower price. I hope this really comes for $250 because in many countries there is some abuse with taxes, etc which increase the price.
