My wife just got this phone and it seems like a great phone. We do have one problem. We have a ford fusion and use syne. The phone identy showes on sync and it seems to be paired for about 30 sec. and then it is declaired unautherized and then the pairing icon on the can goes out.
I am not sure what I am doing wrong.
Has anyone had this problem and is there a solution?

just got this phone from my friend a few days back.. and believe me this phone is good to use at least for beginners.. upgraded to 2.3.6 and increased internal memory to 664mb and also rooted.. this phone now works like a charm.. no trouble till date. battery drains when on 2g net but without data usage u can use it for 2 days..

I have this phone, its amazing.. realyl like it.. specially the qwerty keyboard, the only con about this phone is that it has no flash video.. but you can still see youtube. you cant see other flash video sites, for example justin.tv and such.

try this to end your calls on Galaxy 551
1.Go to Settings.
2.Select Accessibility & cancel it.
3.enable the check mark for THE POWER KEY ENDS CALL.
after this u can user ur power key to end the calls.

Just to say, I just purchased this phone, previously had blackberry and can say I'm really happy with this phone. It's perfect for someone like me just breaking into smart phones and at a reasonable cost. It all depends on your needs I guess but for now.. I'm delighted with this.

How do end calls, ... moreYes, I found that tricky too at first,, all you have to do is go to the top of the screen (status bar)and touch and drag down.. it's like pulling the blinds down over the screen and it gives you options from there. Also you can do that whenever your in different screens to see notifications ects.. so yes, pull it down and than pull it back up as well.

This is a very good phone anyway
I've been used it for more than a year, never had a problem..
on screen qwerty is too small for me, but the slide keyboard is helping so much..
perfect smartphone for general use (texting, sms, email, browsing, etc)
