I recommend you have a look at Alcatel one touch snap, same price tag with a waaaaaaayyyy better specs..

IMHO, Samsung's rendetion of Android beats Sony's offering, in terms of power consumption. Sony compensates this with a better hardware and beefier battery. So this ends up as a tie.
(this argument is based on many web reviews and personal experiences with devices of Sony and Samsung running on same chipsets like Galaxy S Advance and Xperia U on STE U8500)
