Battery life coming from a real user:
If only on standby and abt an hour of game, 30-40 mins of music, 30-40 mins of talktime..The phone goes 24 hrs and has 60% jusice left.
1.5Hr wifi, 1.5Hrs games, 1 Hrs music, 1 Hr call.. In 12 Hrs reduces to about 25%
It is just enough for me as of now, but I would like a bt more

It's time for manufacturers to move away from ARM11 in their mid-to-high range phones.
Galaxy ace is better than optimus one, but how the hell is it better than defy?!!!
Moto defy has:
a bigger screen
higher resolution
Gorilla Glass
bigger storage, more RAM
VGA@30fps video recording
Cortex-A8 processor
Active noise cancellation
& etc.

AnonD-1523, 13 Feb 2011and one more thing! is it true that the battery really drai... morei have rejected this handset due to poor battery performance only 6-8 hrs of talktime, other features are acceptable for a good smartphone. Amazing it is said that Amoled display is power efficient compared to other display types, samsung should do the rectification or this phone set will be a failure.

People shouldn't complain about the processor. It is better than the LG Optimus One as well as the Motorola DEFY. In this price bracket, that's all that matters. If you want an A8 Cortex then maybe you should buy an iPhone and forget about this mid-range Android piece.

hmmmm i figured it out myself.... just long press the text box and you will be prompted to choose the input method... i.e. SWYPE, SAMSUNG KEYBOARD, DioPen CHINESE IME, 한글이, etc...

guys, would somebody tell me where can i find the swype feature on this phone? i have been scanning the settings thru and thru but it seems i can't find swype on my keyboard... huhuhu

I've had this phone for over a week. So far the phone is performing quite well. Sometimes if I have too many programs open at once, I notice some lag (due to the low RAM). But unlike other users, I have not experienced a hang. This phone is slightly on the pricier end, and definitely should be priced the same as the Galaxy 551.

this phone supports google map 5.0. VOIP is possible with skype and yahoo messenger. but not with gtalk and msntalk

Folks, phone looks sleek and nice design.Only bad point is its internal memory which is just 158MB apprx. Surely it can't beat motorola defy with similiar features and with large internal memory.

I just bought this phone yesterday..this is my first smart phone..I appreciated the features..the processing is fast so far but but the bat charge is drained so fast even i don't use wifi, BT or other applications..but overall its great...
