If you aren't getting better backup in Lollipop then there's something wrong with the implementation of the firmware. It's Samsung's problem, rather than anyone else's.
My backup IS ~25% better, along with plenty other people. XDA is there for FACTS, always!

It depends on the seller. I was told when i bought my note that if i broke screen through my fault i would have to pay for to get it fixed. Thats not covered by warranty.

I finally got the lollipop update on the Note 3 (which was a nightmare to install - so much frustrations). After the update was done though, battery life improved significantly (haven't used it long enough to determine SOT, but each percent warrants a longer usage time though compared to KK, for example; it drained 10% in 1 hour and 30 minutes while on social media, which I find to be really good in fact), device feels faster and it looks a lot better also. If you get this update, then do it now! There's really no point staying on KK if the update is available.

Abhi D, 25 Jun 2015Since you are using Lollipop in your Note 3, i want to know... moreNo app crashes , No bugs , Heating only when updating 10-12 apps at a time. It does not have a fan like PC, lap top. Difficult to quantify "screen on Time" but i have kept on power saver mode. Magnificent gestures are off and screen time out is 2 min. Absolutely no problems so far with phone.

There is an issue of IMEI going null/erased and one has to flash the modem of lollipop to get the phone working and get back IMEI
There is no such issue in Snapdragon version though

ithehappy, 25 Jun 2015If you stay on Stock kernel then you will get 6 hours of SO... moreOn my S4 i have quite opposite experience! Ever since lollipop update, battery is very poor. I have done factory reset and cache partition wipes, but that doesn't help at all.
And also my apps keep crashing, app drawer slows down, phone slows down, ram usage has surged, wallpaper changes automatically to stock.

AnonD-409875, 25 Jun 2015I dont like this lolli shit on my Note 3 .. kitkat was great Kikat is good:-) glad i dont have LP in in my phone. Too many problems with it. You can downgrade it to kitkat. ITs ok if you buy a phone that comes with lolliop.
