Ok if you can prove disable heads up notification with third party app then you can say all my word is BS.

Battery life is better, by quite a lot in LP, than KitKat.
Headsup notifications could be disabled in various ways!
There is no app crashing issues at all!

I'm on my 2nd Note 3 now. First one I had for a year & a half, then dropped it in the river. During that 1.5 years I had VERY few problems. None that I even remember, really. I know I had maybe 2 or 3 random restarts in all that time, nothing else out of the ordinary really. No overheating, no bad battery drain (though it did get a little worse after updating to 4.4.2), nothing that ever gave me cause for regret.
Now on my 2nd one for about 2 months and same story only better. Seems like reception is much better on this phone (though not bad before), no overheating, no complaints at all.
I would never own anything but a Note after experiencing this phone. The screen, battery life, S Pen, all give a one-of-a-kind experience which is obviously the reason the Note 4 ranked #1 in customer satisfaction, and the Note 3 tied for 2nd with the two new iPhones and the Galaxy S5. The Note line will never leave you wanting more.

Really bro, DON'T update to LOLLIPOP on note 3! You can't do anything about heads up notification except install third party software to block it up (it's annoying in the game). Battery drain faster about 75% from kitkat, and running app always same even you restart the phone. Game performance is bad, FPS is dropped moreover I play rhythms games which is makes my timing off.

Take it back to retailers and tell them its still heating up. Shouldnt be like that since only having it for a week. Dont let them give you the run around.

Infect my phone is nice and cool to hold in hand. thats the only time i had heating problem which only lasted for couple mins.

Lower than that is consider normal. Try putting it in the fridge for a change. That will cool it down.

My note 3 heated up at the back and screen was so warm. So i took back cover off for a couple mins and phone cooled dwn and havent had anymore problems since. What caused it i dont know. But its fine now and it hasdnt heated up again. Sometimes it good to let the battery breath.

My review after using 2 Note 3 phones in span of one week and I will not recommend Note 3 to anyone because of its
i) strong heating-up (burning) issue near back and front camera area and
ii) battery drain in 2 hours after Lolly-pop update.
iii) Don't buy in Samsung outlets as you can return back if you have issues - Please buy online where you get money back guarantee.
MY Story:
I bought note 3 last week in samsung outlet and the device started heating-up badly even before reaching the home screen. Hence I went to service center for claiming the replacement but they rejected by claim by saying the heating degree is below 48 - Which I find it baseless because even at 40 degree one cannot use the phone on ears for 1 minute continuously and i wonder which doctor or physician in the world has suggested the Samsung to go with 48 degree for replacement. And finally after 2 days they agreed for replacement after conducting some internal test and I felt really happy for Samsung decision. I ran happily bought the replacement and thinking everything is fine but the 2nd device is heating..no..its started burning with in 3 minutes and at much faster speed and rate than the 1st one. And again I went back to the Service center for the returning and this time I need to fight and cry for device which is heating-up more than 48 degrees but the service center claims I shouldnt play games and switch off location and shouldnt use the phone for more than 5 mins etc and the only front side of the phone will be considered for heating issues and all non-sense stories. And they have not provided refund.

Or go through odin. But you need to know what your doing as you dont want to brick your phone. But it can be done. Like i said google it. Theres forums out there to give you step by step directions on how to do it. Good luck:)
