It's (obviously) a bit soon to begin reviewing the Galaxy Note 2 (GNote2 or GN2) technology when the rumored specifications are more speculation than leaked or sourced info.

With that said, we, too, have hopes Sammie will boost this device further past what was incorporated into the Galaxy S3 platform (from S2).

With the added capabilities in the ARM Cortex A15 platform Samsung has an opportunity to design their A15 Exynos with some added still photo possibilities then hoping they might go to 12mp or better. With Jelly Bean and the M4 capabilities photography could be very sweet for the GN2.

We'd also like to see one Galaxy device "stick" to one SoC and not switch-n-swap at was the case for most of the S2 and S3's. Of course realizing supply and demand has sometimes been the reason for the swaps; or the 'lack of foresight' in the LTE issue (for North America).

With A-OS 4.1 coming onboard the advantages this version shall bring about offer a perfect opportunity to design and build a real powerhouse with this Samsung near 2-hander. And although some endusers seem reluctant of v4.1 as it says goodbye, to the already announced demise of, Adobe Flash we curiously await HTML5 taking over and ridding the necessity to await Flash fixes and updates on the mobile scene.

Our hope and desire (in replacing our beloved G.Note "ones" is much more base RAM and ROM, a 64g/32g HDD (plus 64g SDXC slot), maybe a Beats-like audio system, a 12mp-18mp main cam and increasing the display to allow 1920x1080 resolutions.

Nice to haves would be dual display ability, a docking station setup to morph your GNote2 into (pseudo) Desktop, LED Backlight, RJ45 (or dongle) to wire attach when docked, BT 4.x, USB 3.0 AND removable powercell.

After all isn't the core idea behind the G.Note to be the merger of smartphone and tablet to create a nicely balance device. We all enjoyed (and still enjoy) using our G.Notes every day.

So as we await spec announcement, we mostly hope Samsung will push GN1-to-GN2 much farther than the "inerational" push of S2-to-S3 (although more and more we are "liking" the S3).

This thing is great, I am sure, but where's the upgrade? You could overclock the note's cpu to 1.7 ghz easily and .2 inches increase in screen size is not that much. I would not give that original look of note for this design and nothing better than the note 1.

My father bought a GSIII, my cousin has S2, another cousin has S2, G-Nexus, i personally owned the SGS, then i bought S2 and then i bought G-Note. I was only asking for better camera, quad core, may be the technology is better and new but i was asking for cores plus remarkable camera with better sensor, better features!!! in comparision to S3 there should be enhancements... :-) please next time do not conclude so early that an individual is a fan of Nokia Or Apple :-)
