rtmayura, 10 Nov 2015pls tell me what about battery life of Samsung Galaxy S5 Ne... moreI can get 2 days out of mine quite easily. I play chess or other simple games on the bus, take occasional photos, use whatsapp a lot and make 5-10 calls a day. Screen brightness at about one third.

The S5 also has fingerprint recognition and infrared but most people don't use those anyway.

Just bought one and there's a problem with my camera when i take a picture with the flitser on my picture's are dark

Just bought this s5 New Addition NEO at the Samsung Store Airport in Panama.
Wanted a non network phone unlocked as I travel international a lot. Got home and set it up and got all my apps. Now after using I realize the proximity sensors do not work! Just like my mini s4. So, when you place a call the screen goes dark and have to hit the power button to come back on. there is no adjustment for this on this model.

Another owner of S5 Neo, I'm removing the SII Plus now ..
P.S there isn't much difference between S5 and S5 Neo, but I think the Neo is better, Octa vsQuad, better front camera and more ..

I have a problem with some strange background noise during conversations. I can't find noise reduction (noise suppression) from calls settings in this lollipop 5.1.1? Please anyone help?

No battery problems. Every thing open wireless, 4G. I use fb , playing games, watching you tube and i dont see batery problems. One of my friends has iphone 5s and need to charge the phone every 4 hours. If you have problems with batery go to the store where you bought the phone, maybe the phone battery has problems

Update post for battery problem.
I deactivate some useless apps (for me) like Galaxy apps, Briefing, all the bigest microsoft apps (I prefer wps office app), hangouts. samsung print service plugin, samsung push service, skype. I close the s-health and NFC sensor. I deactivate the gestures direct call.
After all, the battery life improved very much!!!
Now the phone can work for two days with normal use with always open data or wifi (except when I sleep) and it can have 7-8 hours on screen!!!!

Anonymous, 21 Oct 2015I have used this phone for a while now and done about 6 fac... more Problem with battery draining might also be related to the country where you live or with roaming . For example I live in Romania ( have a Sony z3 compact ) .But I work in UK every 2 weeks . In RO , no problem with my battery . Lasts 1 and half day with normal usage (mail, u tube, calls , sms ) . The moment I turn it on in UK (after flight ) the battery life starts vanishing like there is no tomorrow 4h to dead . I tried turning off Data roaming , mobile data , wireless , Bluetooth . Activated Stamina mode ...the same . The only thing that works is Ultra-stamina mode .... which restarts the phone just with basic options and no Apps ( much like SAFE mode in windows ). And no clues why this happens

This phone never crash or stopp responding during calls. Also when you play a game, watch facebook or surf web and you receive a call during those the phone respond directly to call with no need to close fb, chrome, or game.

I just don't understand whining about 4K video. Why would you need 4K video on you phone? FHD not enough? Do you have 4K TV at home? I bet your laptops can't cope with 4K properly... This is just stupid.

No built in ir which rules out any remote control apps you may have used on S5 or previous models. Also no 4k video..
Worse processor...no fingerprint scanner...so as far as I can tell the only upgrade on the original S5 is a higher res front facing camera. 😠

Which would you also advise I go for, Samsung galaxy s5 or Samsung galaxy s5 neo.

This model is fantastic! Great camera! Good specification. I feel very god using this model :)
