Samsung Gear S3 set to be unveiled on August 31

Himanshu, 16 August, 2016

While we already know that Samsung will be holding its IFA 2016 press conference on September 1, and were expecting the upcoming Gear S3 smartwatch to be made official on that day, the South Korean company has now confirmed on Twitter that the unveiling will in fact take place on August 31.

There's no guessing game this time around as the image in the tweet clearly mentions "Gear" as well as "3." Rumors so far say there will be three variants of the smartwatch, namely the Gear S3 Classic, the Gear S3 Frontier and the Gear S3 Explorer. Design-wise, the wearable is expected to keep the round shape of its predecessor, as well as the rotary bezel.
