I got the Samsung galaxy R GT I9103 since 2011, but from months ago until now can not turn on the wifi

My best friend have it since 2012.It always have been with 2.3 and it started freezing at the first months.Laggy and crappy for any reason.Tried to get the 4.0 update-unsucessful.Upgraded to 4.4.2 with custom rom-looks like it began a little bit faster but its still freezing and a lot of things like bluetooth stopped working.Sadly,there isnt and never will be R2 because of the fact-the phone came out at the same time as S2 and 4/5 of the people bought S2.This phone had potential anyway.It still can handle the most new games because of the high end specs for its time which are something between low-end and medium-end today.
