Good battery backup I can talk for 16.5 hours using 3g hmmn what the heck are we talking about fake s4 that someone is complaining 1.5 hours of talk time hmmn seems wierd for me just bought the phone and it last for 3 days

Hmmn.. seems alot of you is having trouble, I purchase my i9505 in the Philippines under Globe Telecom provider. I dont have any issues with it. 3 days of normal usage including music and and facebook. Well mates be sure to charge it including the trickle charge.. Install battery doctor and dont overcharge it because it will affect the main board and life span of the battery. make sure that you are charging it if it is below 20%.. No heating issues so far even if I play HD games. Noproblems at all super fast phone Highly recommended because I think samsung made some improvements on s4 lately compared to the ones who are purchased on its early release hope that helps.

officegirl, 31 Aug 2013Hi users of Samsung I9505 Galaxy S4, Have any of you exp... morei have an update on the status of my phone. i brought it back to the service center last Sept 11 (wed) and reported that my phone still autoshutoff after they performed a reformatting. they asked me to leave my phone with then for several days for observation and to call back by Sept 13 (fri) for a status update. when i did callback, they told me that the phone's mainboard would be replaced. they released the phone to me by Sept 17 (tues). the phone has been working fine since then, no more autoshutoff! so i really had a defective mainboard before it was replaced. i guess the staff at that particular service ctr finally saw the problem so they replaced the mainboard as soon as the part was available. they also probably got fed up seeing me there for the nth time. i am happy to report that my problem with the unit is finally over.

the staff at the service center told me that batteries are covered under warranty for 6 months. just bring your official receipt when you get your battery checked. they would be able to replace it right away if they have available stocks. hope this helps!

got my I9505 4 months ago, and now its with Samsung service center because of shorted board and battery.
they'll be replacing the board and battery for free, but what the hell my phone is just 4 months old and I ahve to replace the main part? according to the samsung tech, it was over charged that's why the board shorted out and thats the cause why the battery got fat(shorted).
What I know is that new phone today has a built in cut off when iots fully charged even if left them over night, the charging will stop.
I think I got a lemon, and now im thiking to sell it already.
this is my first samsung smart phone and it didnt exceeded my expectation. My O+ 8.5 still works perfectly.

I know galaxy s4 gets heat up, but even heating issues are in iphone 5. I personally have used both the phones, so i can say, both of the phones are best smartphones but the thing is, what is important to you. If you want a phone for long terms, that is for 5-10 years, then go for iphone and if you want phone for 2-3 years then go for galaxy s4 with cool features.
I am seriously crazy about phones and i have changed 7 phones in a year and my personal experience says that after changing the phone, you will come to know what was good in your phone.
The best thing to take decision is to know that every phone will get old after a year and phones with new specifications are going to beat them. So its upto a person for which phone he will go.
Personally, I am satisfied with the performance of galaxy s4. I am using this phone for 5 months and it just lagged once till now. It does not has restarting problems, lagging problems as told by the other users. It lags just for a secound in heavy games and even we can find this issue in Iphone 5 that after opening many applications the phone gets slower.
So, i want to say that if you want to buy a phone then, don't listen to anybody because there are going to tell you what they like not what is better. Every company has international standard so that's why they are in the market.
Hope this will help you all for taking decisions.

So far my 9505 almost 2months old, still working excellent! no problem at all, except my signal to my subs. line "Globe" always/daily need to restart because no signal at all... some location also no range signal for 4G.. :(
Its means, my main problem is the subscriber.. GLOBE!!!
