I bought one in december I posted an older opinion on this forum I complained about it alot it had many flaws but out of the blue it stopped making any problems for me...disatvantages: bad camera on shady and night environments, no mp3, no radio, small display resolution, sometimes software works slow advantages: EVERYTHING ELSE; calendar settings like never seen before, contacts profiles and calculator so comprehensive and complete you would say it's a palmtop. Main + cheaper to buy than a 6230i even if that has better camera and multimedia devices. And if you like the s65's classy and discrete look in the photos you'll love it in real life it's actually quite ergonomic even if you'd think otherwise and the black keys with transparent glass look are exquizite NOT THE GREATEST PHONE BUT DEFENETLY A BARGAIN

its a cool mobile,though i have not used it yet but im gonna buy it in few days.. il uv it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

S66 is 850/1800/1900, whereas the s65 is 900/1800/1900

This is really bad device....lots of problems with it..... sold it month after purchase...after 2 weeks in service...my problems: bad reception not big problem - good network in Slovakia, terribly slow, hangs often, turning off by itself, lowest row of keys not working from time to time, terribly week battery..barely 1 day is terribly short duration....
Kind of a lot, don´t you think? and I have´t mentioned everything....
Please DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!!!!

about your problem I dont know if i can be of much help but here goes: siemens have allways had problems with signal in the past or atleast from what I heard; also I had 2 - 3 sl45 and later 2 A50 all of these great phones but sucked with signal and sim reader allways had that damn CARD ERROR message :) this S65 has great signal and keep in mind that it was used 9 months before me so all of them must have great signal reading capabilities I have a nokia 1100 that has worse signal I suggest exchanging the signal unit; ... anyway I took mine to a mobile service and they fixed the keypad they said it could be the circuit board of the key that is busted fortunatelly it wasn't.. they cleaned it and now it works if u say yours has no lights probably you have to replace that certain circuit board; my advice be extra carefull with the autenticity of the part I know for a fact that if it is not original it will melt to temperatures excediing 300 Celsius degrees and in 1 or 2 weeks it wount work again
I bought this phone because I am a fan of buisness phones like siemens s45 sl45 nokia 6310i but the s65 is very difficult to use and maintainance is expensive. It is almoust like you can feel Siemens's lack of founds and logistics when they developed the phone just by using it (i think they made it just before selling to benQ when they were declining) This phone is the Cinderella of buisness mobiles I just like its design and the fact that is twice as cheap as a nokia 6230i. So what I am saying is that we are going to have a lot of trouble with them and if you decide to keep it in the future get prepared for some serious reliability issues
P.S. i took it to the service and now the keys work but it went off a couple of times for no reason and now the end call key loses contact from time to time THIS PHONE IS A BEAUTIFULL NIGHTMARE :)

I have the Same problem with the keypad but i think i lost its light for good i don't have a light of the keypad now, But signal Reception's sux Nokia 3310 has a better signal reception... do u have any explanition for this problem?
If so plz contact me it's my only problem with this phone

hi everyone...i just bought this phone a few days ago, I think it's great it's everything I expected but I got it used and it has one problem the key lighting goes on and off with no reason and sometimes several keys don't work for a few secs. and then work again If anyone knows anything or has experienced this prbl. with their s65 please e-mail me or write a reply to this message and also if you know a good programme to turn mp3 to wav the programmes I use don't work

It is a very nice phone. I'm using it since the day it came on the market and I'm very pleaced with it. A bit to slow on infra-red and the camera is bad, but other than that it's an ok phone. I would recomand people to buy it if they want it.

I have a mean problem with this phone, it has a very bad signal reception,My old nokia 1100 grabs better singal than this phone,sometimes i lose signal reception at all, while my old nokia still showing network coverage,
My question is:
is this problem only with my phone or it's a genral problem with The Siemens S65,im From egypt My operator's Vodafone EG,Plz if anybody has a solution for this problem plz contact me via email.

1. it's Bluetooth is very slowly

I have Traded My Nokia 8310 for this phone it'a a great phone excellent design,awesome speaker with loud&clear sound a little bulky firmware but i can live with that,NO Fm Radio,No Mp3 Player i don't care about that cuz i already have a Sandisk Mp3 player so i don't need this.if you're looking for some games,applications for this Phone Go to www.getjar.com/software/Siemens/S65. If anyone of u guyz has any idea about a software converts Mp3 to wave works with this phone plz tell me the name of this software

i having s65 and i have some problem with it
1_the bluetooth is very slow
2_when i change the in put languge there is amessage apper(an error occurred) why? (note :the language is changing any way)
3_when i use the cam in the night there is blue spots apper???????????
4_alot of java app. and game doesn't work???
5_when i format the phone i lost the java app. and games how can i resotre it
(my sw_version is(50) )
finally can some one tell me about site ican download complet java game and prog. from it (but not demo)
