have this phone in 2 diff. colors. wonderful!!!! dropped in the toilet and a bucket of wet clay, promptly took apart and cleaned by myself and both still work fine. would love a new one.

i had one,because we got a new phone, it had no serves but i loved how you can choose theams. lath that year[phone was used] the screen died and i had to smash it, i liked bluetooth ,but and i wish it had wifi.

Bought this phone in june 2008. i unlocked it a month later to use with a UK sim card for a cruise trip thru baltic sea europe. worked without fail during our entire trip thru 7 countries. clear sound, good messaging, good battery life.
Since then i aquired a lot of phones, my latest a smart nokia 8 band world phone (unlocked, so i can use any GSM sim card in europe and usa).
i, now resurrected the sony w580 for use by my wife in europe on our latest trip using a euro buzz sim.
very high quality, reliable fone with good battery life. who else still uses a 4 yr old fone?

This is a bad phone..bought this one in Oct 2007 and since then this phone is not working properly..Battery life is very bad..only one good thing in this mobile is it's music..

this is awsome phone with clearly megabass and manually equalizer..and the sound still crunchy sound..
the camera is so good ..but i've dissapointed with any tuts and video record.T.T
but overall..this is better phone..
i bought this phone 1week ago..and in indonesia still have a new one..

i boughy SE w580 since 2008... it still ok evn now u used xperia ray... problem ribbon n keypad) but really satisfied after drop many time, step on it etc....

W580 is a solid phone. It's not really good for heavy texters because the buttons are a bit fragile but overall, it performs well especially in the music department. I've also had the W760, C905 and W995 and even though those phones have better specs, the W580 never really lagged or restarted unexpectedly or physically started falling apart like the others. This is a classic Sony Ericsson phone.

My W580i has crossed 4 years and is still new.....performing better than an Xperia.
This is the most awesome phone i've ever had in my life....superb sound and picture quality....I've fallen in love with this one !

I've been using W580i since 2008, it's very user-friendly, I really loved it. ^^ I accidentally dropped it several times but the screen and speaker is still in perfect condition. :) The only problem was the keypad. Mine cracked after 2 years and eventually came off. However, I can still type even though it's keypad-less. XD It's definitely worth the buy, in my opinion. :)
