Anonymous, 28 Jun 2011Stop believing the marketing BS. You DO NOT need a 16MP cam... moreyeah, it's all about the sensor. a very old nikon D50 5MP can still shoot better pictures than today's most compact cameras sporting over 12MPs

Samsung Wave, which is about the same, is only 200 euros now...
Wanted to buy Ray, but I guess i will keep my Wave until this one gets cheaper. Or will buy the Xperia mini which is nice too.

then, of course it's Android not Bada
and, also it has what promises to be a decent camera.
With any phone, if it doesn't have the specs you want you can get something else.
This phone is obviously aimed at someone who wants a good quality droid with a decent screen image and a reasonable feature set without having to lug around a huge 4 inch screen Behemoth.

Anonymous, 24 Jun 2011What I don't understand was that, why SE just putting a sma... moreSE seems to have learned from their earlier lessons with the Xperia range and they now appear to be doing better than most manufacturers at bringing their phones to market with the latest version of Android (HTC Incredible, LG Optimus 2X anyone?).
As for upgrade potential, it's interesting to note that the Xperia X10 with its paltry 1gb / 384mb of ram is apparently getting Gingerbread without too much fuss, but, compare that story to the on / off / on saga of HTC Desire.
I suspect that there is a tiny bit of competence in Sony Ericsson's design stragegy and their Android skin is much less intrusive than the likes of HTC Sense which makes it easier for them to push out updates, even for their older phones.

you know what it work fine without wpa/wpa2 psk password..
i mean it work fine open wifi network

Do you think 3g connections were developed just to make you able to do video calling??! Can't you see the point of hsdpa/ hsupa are for having higher data transfer speed and capacity - so your device is capable to get the advantages of todays internet connections such as download movie, video streaming, OTA updates, access Google maps etc?

Ray shd be very very competitive, pricewise.SE must look into it. they r falling back mainly due to high price.

now days sony ericsson is not in competition with nokia or samsung they are not with up to date price wise tooooo costly yes build quality is better but what about feature? now days only single flash or no front camera or no 3g whats going on?
see xperia series no not a hit series of sony but see nokia n series or samsung g series sony is way down because of price
