Anonymous, 27 Feb 2013It have factory installed shatter-proof foil, and some pack... moreThanks. So I guess I should use an additional screen protector. But the problem is I don't like the matte paper coz it makes the display very noisy. Without this paper display looks really crisp & clear and I want to keep it this way. (btw I didn't get any additional protector in the box)

[deleted post]It have factory installed shatter-proof foil, and some packages includes additional screen protector, and some don't.

The specification is good, the lack, it doesn't has microSD slot, but the internal memory I think almost enough. Its price is still expensive (more than US$300) and use micro SIM.

I recently bought xperia p and I think its one of the best buys for the money
As new smartphone user I would like to help me with some things
First of all is 2G easier on the battery than 3G? Speed is not an issue
I would love to have a guide for all I have to do to expand the battery life
Also I read I can remove some of the phone preisntalled sony widgets if I root the phone
If so when jelly bean comes out will I be able ti upgrade
I need the advice of a relatively hardcore user to customize the phone once and forget it!
Any useful advice regarding this device is welcome
Sorry for the lack of knowledge but I am new to the smartphone arena
                      Thank you in advance

I'm struck between xperia p and samsung galaxy grand, please suggest me which one is better?
I don't want lagging or hanging in long runs.

You must be joking bad, or tasted something terrible.

Pinching in/out changes size and position of pictures, and swipeing is used for viewing next/previous picture.

This is an Awesome phone must say! In my country there's no phone with this price range to offer 4.0" 275ppi disp, 8MP stunning camera, latest Andro OS, Alu body, NFC n mesmerizing design! Battery isn't a headache for me cause I got the quick charger. Totally worth it!! Two probs it lags on homescreen, I guess JB will fix this and must use the Aluminium body with care cause my friend got the same phone n facing Colour wear offs.

Try repairing your smartphone with SUS (Sony Update Service - you can download it from Sony official pages, just search for it). Also, before repairing, untick option for reinstalling program in Google Play.

This way you will have freshly reinstalled OS, with some leftovers on /sdcard folder since it will be intact (or You can Reset your phone to factory settings if you don't have lot's of data on it, but do the backup before).

When You repair Your phone, do not install any task-killer, battery-saver, anti-virus program etc. because it's just draining Your batter and 'stealing' your CPU time. Just activate Extended StandBy in Power saving options.

Also take care not to install every possible crap from Play Store (lot's of free programs install unwanted widgets, shortcuts and notification icons, and also run some processes in background.

Do you even know that phones are supposed to be restarted everyday to clear the cache memory. And I can BET that you are using a 'Auto task killer' app. Anyways..... I can say only one thing here..... That you dont know how to use a phone...period.
In case you want to improve your phone then do the following,
                                        1. Uninstall all task killers.
                                        2. Restart your phone everyday.
                                        3. Dont use antivirus softwares (they are useless)
                                        4. And dont use the facebook app built in. (a bitch app....)
