I've been using this phone since more than a month.
I'm in really love with this phone.
the main features and pros and cons i'm highlighting here on the basis of my experience
Pros:
1. Screen: 8.5/10
Its 4.6 HD screen looks stunning and catches attention n amazes while viewing albums and movies. Its great if u want to get a single hand usability bt a big and good screen. Also i must thanks to bravia engine 2 and 319 ppi which make the screen alot sexier. text looks extremely crisp n sharp colours look simply amazing..
You can think that my friend does have a XPERIA Z n he too loves viewing pics n movies on my phone.
2. BATTERY 9/10:
its 2370 mah battery is one of my reasons to get this phone.
On moderate use with brightness at 40% it gives me 16-19 hrs of fuel without stamina mode on..
3. DESIGN and BUILT QUALITY: 8.5/10
the phone is well built with premium aluminium frame.
first thing that catches eyes is its led bar at the bottom which i find really beautiful n useful...
4. Software and hardware 9/10
I havent encountered a single lag or hang since ive used it, really fast 1.7 duo core s4 and 320 gpu makes it great for gaming.. JB gives a smooth and fluidic user interface experience.
Cons:
1. Camera: 7/10
it has got an 8 mp cam with HDR and XMOR RS sensor chips. But still it gives granier photos when you zoom a bit into them.
Video quality is good at 30 fps and 1080p.. still u get sum grainyness.
FRONT Camera is just a VGA which is OKAY u can say for videochats.
All n all its not the best 8 mp camera bt not the worst either...
2. the phone heats up when on charging and while doin sum heavy gaming. Not a major issue becoz of 2370 mah battery under hood!
3. The headphones supplied with it are'nt great for listening music.. So I've baught a sony xb series headsets for enhancing the music experience... the walkman app gives u great features and i dint find any need of gettinng a music player from playstore.
been using this phone, loving the experience ,... catches every ones eyes n people having samsung galaxy s3 dont find comfortable enough to take out their phones in front of me now... ;)
All n all if ure confused between some phones between 20000 and 28000 range... XPERIA SP is your phone. go for it guys its a really complete package with sum awesum features... Go n get yours!

The best ph I ever have. No problem, hang or lag. Internet is also fast. Battery last one and a half day on moderate use. Only downside is camera and display. I highly recommend this ph.

guys who all are having problems with screen may wait for future android 4.2 update..This will surely increase quality and crispness of SP's 720p display!(Proud Xperia SP Owner)

Pls let know how to restart without open back cover when phone hangs
i hv search & found Xperia S can be restart
Press power button + volume up your phone will be shut down
Its can be work with Xperis SP ???

Thanks for ur point of view! i did lot of research before buying SP. was amused by its looks which is much different than galaxys, so common thses days. now happy with what i get. full brightness means consumption of power so its better to keep it adopt the light mode.

Although its sharper, its much less punchier. I compared the display to the one x/+, and the one x/+ wins by miles. Was going to purchase the sp but now I'm hinging towards one x+. Its more expensive though. Confused.

May be related to settings. Go to settings>display>brightness
untick the box "adapt to lighting conditions "
increase brightness to 100%
u can see a definite change
but sony uses tft display not as cool as samsung's amoled
I am enjoying with what my sp's display has got better than galaxy grand ,not compared with note 2 though
Viewing angles are nt good bt I dnt look from awkward angles :-P
-PIXEL DENSITY MORE OFTEN RELATED TO SHARPNESS NOT TO DISPLAY (MY VIEW )
SP HAS GOT BRILLIANT SCREEN IN TERMS OF SHARPNESS

Specs wise this phone is a beast, its the display that lets it down. (Even the Z has better blacks than this phone)

Hi, I bought xperia sp this sunday. Its a nice looking phone. The problem is its display quality. I compared it with galaxy grand and note2. comparing those phones its quite dull and dark. specifications on gsmarena says that the pixel density is much better in sp than other two. is it related to settings? if yes how it could be improved?

Hi! I Bought xperia sp this sunday. what i cant understand its display quality is not up to even galaxy grand's (i've compared it with my collegue's galaxy grand) far lower than note2. specifications on GSMarena says that note2's pixel density is lower than sp's. is is an issue related to settings?
