Are you kidding ? What do you expect from a smartphone mate, octacore ? Out there almost you cannot find laptops with 8 cores?
I will repeat myself, are you going to set up a server with the smartphone, are you going to render with it ??
Its already explained very well, quad core at the moment stay quiet and sleeping with our applications we are using nowadays.
This is clear marketing mate, increasing cores and cores and for what, to "eat" more power and drain your battery. Sony already show you with Xperia T how you can have the same performance from one quad core (like S3) in a small dual core and consume less power.
And others complaining here regarding the design, bad? Are you blind people? Do you think the piece of plastic like S3 is better? Don't make me laugh...

Ok right now the HTC dna is the best droid in terms of screen weight design precessor. (memory is poor unless u have a butterfly camera also poor in low light battery is actually on par with galaxy s3 in daily use due to software optimization )
LG Nexus best droid interms of android rom verion processor decent all rounder (battery life is poor)
Samsung Note 2 and glaxy 3 just a good all rounder decent processor decent screen battery is sick (to big for some looks plasticky screen breaks to easy good camera but low light is poor)
nokia lumia great camera unique fresh ui (dual core processor heavy bulcky not enough apps just yet although much more then black berry)
iphone
cant find anything good to say (boring UI boring design chips scratches easily cost to much for what you get apps cost to much has blue tooth but ask anyone to blue tooth u a song dual core processor camera sucks in low light I cud list more like itunes maps ios6 blah blah blah when samsung or htc or sony or lg or nokia released there flagships there were no chipping issues or quality issues or antena issues or map isssues blah blah blah)

great processor amazing screen (best and fastest at the moment like dna and nexus) memory expansion stunning looks (subjective) best camera in it's class best video recording of any smart phone (first hdr exmor rs 13mp) great pics in low light excellent video in low light very (just search for vieo and pic samples online *these are not final) durable made with dragontrail glass (search for the droptest i think it's in russian and search for dragontail glass it's amazing) oh and it's waterproof (this may be a gimick to some I'm always listening to music I think this may just come in handy) only thing no one is sure of is battery tests in realworld.
Basically like the gs3 when it was released the xperia will be the best all rounder the only closest alternative will be the HTC butterfly.
I think the best smartphones for the first half of 2013 will be the gs4 the xperia z and the htc m7 and I think anyone will be happy with either none of them will be terrible for me personally I just sense that the xperia will be the best looker and still edge the others on camera and those are the main deciders for me the reason the gs4 ranks lowest of the 3 for me is because every 2nd person will have one and lcd looks better to me then amoled although I feel samsung will really up the build quality and durability all HTC's current phones have amazing build quality but I think there memory options will improve as well as there camera's as for processors the htc mz and gs4 will be better on that front simply cause of the latter realease but how much better mmm not enough for me to wait till then cause the speed of current processors are more then adequate since none of the current droids lag at all the difference will be battery optimization in future androids for now xperia z is the best all rounder by june things will be different but I need an upgrade and this is an excellent premium product which ticks all boxes.

TFT is the worst LCD ... moredo you even know what tft is or are you just the type that makes up shit besides the tft uses in its current range is not the tft of old do your research and stop just saying stuff for the sake of trying to sound smart. I'll never forget the first time i saw an super amoled screen I thought it was amazing but soon came to realize it was only cause it's brightness was turned all the way up. not long after that i saw a super lcd 2 with 720p and i was blown away now the latest thing is 1080p with lcd and I'm sorry for me I like the look of it the best and I wud honestly like to know one person that has seen it and can say it's bad it may not be your preference but it's not bad.
Don't get to hung up on amoled and oled and blah blah blah just cause it's the latest tech doesn't mean the user experience is any better and as I've proven to myself in the past it's not always the hardware although sony's screen is tft it's the latest in tft but that bravia software and 1080p make all thee difference to deny this means your just a fanboy and can some one pls tell me what is this obsession with viewing angles on smartphones can someone pls make a good case as to why I need a smartphone where every one can see my whole private life from 10 rows away, I use my smartphone alot for media but have never whipped out the popcorn and invited 10 friends over to watch with me I love all tech but somethings are just irrelevant or pointless.
Oh ps side story few months ago went into a store with a friend (Female) I told her that I was a fan of sony but she should buy what she wanted just stick with certain premium brands initially she liked the samsung cause of the look but everytime we went back to the sony she kept saying the image was better (I informed her that most of sharps sony and smasung tv's at different levels and rangers are usually shared technology it usually come down to software for the difference) we both felt the sony looked better but still cudn't figure out why it just looked sharper and more natural the samsung kept claiming this and that but THE SONY guy was like those guys talk so much what i'm gona do is ask you to test the product yourself "I want you to stand 5-10cm away and look at the pixels, color, tone clarity and tell me what you think then go to the samsung guys block your ears and do the same thing then decide " We did that and the choice was easy today she's the proud owner of a 55inch led 3d bravia with no regrets proving u can talk all the hype but the proof is in the pudding.

Sony is now starting to make their own q... morename one phone that will be available by 18 ferbruary that has more then 4 cores stop being an ass the xperia will be the best smartphone in the market for 3 - 4 months like the one x then the samsung g3 then the samsung gn2 then nexus then the htc dna then the htc butterfly then the xperia z (name one of these which is really a bad phone) so on and so forth by the time it comes out it will be the best that there is on the market and it won't be short of anything so for anyone renewing there contract or desperate to have the latest tech for the time being the xperia is an amazing choice with enough features to distinguish it from the rest and until something better gets announced the rest is all bs and speculation.
