Recently bought this phone for a multitude of reasons:
1) Android and Apple are basically spy ware, everybody knows they give up all your personal data to the NSA and other government crooks spying on us. Blackberry is the most secure OS left. Plus you don't have the newest idiocy in technology, fingerprint and face scanners that when stolen can be used for identity theft and worse... Using this phone I feel safe from criminals AND government intrusion.
2) Every generation of smartphones gets bigger and more uncomfortable to handle and carry. This phone lies perfectly in your hand and fits into any pocket.
3) Very nice and intuitive handling and elegant design.
4) Huge amount of memory space, nice menu setup, all the necessary apps and programs to work,
5) Interchangeable battery which means you can use this phone until eternity (at least in theory) and not have to throw it away after a couple of years like other phones, because the battery is done and you can't replace it.
Obviously not a phone for today's generation of smartphone addicts who need hundreds of apps, watch movies and spend half their day on social media, but for anyone who needs a well-rounded phone who values convenience and privacy, it's almost perfect. Love it!

Finally after all these years I got one. What a beauty, better keyboard than the Q10, design superb and fills your hand perfectly, not as fast as the latest smartphones, but does the job. Excellent battery life too and has the same battery as my Q10...

hey guys in my last post I describe my bb p9983 as a graphite, but some people and friends told me that is carbon fiver I don't know now, but my p9983 is all black flat matt and the back is carbon fiver. the front Porsche design is some type of dark charcoal color metal I try to scratch a little with a nail to se if is painted but it did not scratch is very hard metal, and the keyboard is made of some type of glass, with English and Arabic. may be that is the reason why it feels supper light, but I still can't find a case to protect it. I drop it yesterday in my garage and I almost cry it slipped from my hand because is so smooth, and light I close my eyes after I picked it up from the concrete floor thinking ho nooooo I just crack and broke my display but much to my surprise it did nothing, to the finish, the frame or the back but I still need a case so I don't damage my investment next time. anyways guys that's all for tonight good nite
