Only 4 years of security support and worse only 3 years of Android updates. Oneplus 12 support is garbage 👎

Correct, since it's a more correct indicator of battery health. My OnePlus 11, almost 2 yrs.old still has a battery health of 96%.

I mean flashing the same ROM via fastboot vs. a factory reset. Which is better? Thanks.
