Is it true that wifi hotspot of the acer liquid jade z is not detectable to other mobile phones(in short no use). Anyone one here who already purchased one,pls confirm if its true.im plnanning to get one.tia

JUST BOUGHT IT FROM LAZADA. 16GB INTERNAL STORAGE, 2GB RAM BUT it is only on kitkat 4.4.4. so i was wondering if i check the software update and maybe update it to 5.0 - 5.1 lollipop; does it lessen the ram usage?

just bought a Jade Z for my daughter. Nice look. Works OK except for the fact that it regularly powers off and needs to restart. Any thoughts what can/should be done?

updated from official 4.4 to official 5.1 !

Story 1 - Bought it. tied it. loved it. turned on Portable WiFi Hot-Spot. it was easy and wifi hot-spot icon at top left. Great!......but....no device can see it. spent hours with stage 1 acer tech. ...nada. So I returned it and they gave me a new one.
Story 2 - turned on Portable WiFi Hot-Spot. it was easy and wifi hot-spot icon at top left. Great!......but....no device can see it. spent hours with stage 2 acer tech. ...nada. So Tech admits its a default. So if protable wifi hot-spot is for you.....the phone is NOT!!!!

Please make the battery bigger like the Liquid E700 or 4000mah acer phones are durable and good build quality phones.

Its much better if the acer liquid jade z upragade to 4000mah battery to have a longer happiness using the phone because if its 2k+ only the battery will dry shortly we cant use it longer as what we expect to this gadget.

One week after purchase.
THE BAD. Sometimes it fails, Deezer and Spotify. 3-4 times a day blank screen. Sometimes in need of a restart. Sound not to loud and not of great quality. I use Senheiser speakers and the difference in qualify is noticeable. Tweaking the sound options does not help. Could not find a decent case yet. Battery drains very fast. Very fast. 100% when I wake up at 70% at noon. But I use it intensively. Wi-Fi, 4G always on, screen brightness medium, Facebook chat, a couple of selfies for loved ones, browsing, GPS off, textual apps, no YouTube, nor videos. Cameras just OK. I re-edit my photos with Pixlr. Plastic feeling. Slow charging time.
THE GOOD. I have never paid, and will never pay more than 200 euro for a mobile, that it is supposed to last 2 years. So at 190 euro, it is a nice tag. It is thin and light, easy to care, easy to lose and dangerous to drop. It is better than sum of its parts. It is practical throughout the day. Navigation TomTom, traffic jams, train connection s, emails, calender, Facebook chat, good quality of conversation, no dropouts in signal, music, etc. makes it a reliable handheld. Although, I must carry an external battery.

Scooby Doo, 06 Mar 2015I also want to know if it is dual sim just like the liquid jade SI have no idea how Jade S is in regards with dual sim. But I can say this about Jade Z.
U can put either two nano sims, either one nano and a micro SD. You cannot extend the memory if you have two sims inside. It is a semi-dual sim, since only one sim card can be active at the time.
