I had my AFP replaced cause the first unit I got fastly heats up, must be a factory defect. This new unit is so much better. I have a question though, how can I see the multitask for all the running apps? I tried to hold and press the menu key but it doesn't work.

Re : Gorilla Glass, I found that the phone doesn't use a gorilla glass because of the OGS full lamination display technology. The OGS full lamination display ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qg3v5Ph0vbI ) is One Glass Solution, this technology is used to get more thin screen and more sensitive touchscreen. The touching device is integrated to the protection glass, and there is no space between screen and protection glass (seems like you're directly touching your screen).

However, it might work with a better camera app. So if you get the chance to try a better camera app, kindly let us know if it works or not.

AnonD-434407, 08 Sep 2015Maybe it was just my mobile data connection. i haven't trie... moreYeah, that's typical of downloads that get cut off. Sorry....start over.

Did you check your signal strength to see if it bounces a lot? If it does, expect a lot more of those cut offs coming at random while downloading. You're right. For something small, no big deal. Something bigger is gonna be a marathon of annoying wanting to happen!!

There're lots of file managers out there. Seems the two getting the higher recommendations are Es File Explorer and Astro. See if one of those would help you with cache cleaning and deleting folders you want gone. I know ES has a cache cleaner. It's right in the description in the Play Store. I didn't look into Astro.

In comparisons to an ArcMobile Nitro 401D, the battery is pretty out there nice. I know that ArcMobile phone takes quite a heavy "beating" from it's owner playing games on it all the time. All kinds of things up and running at the same time too. That battery lasts about 5 hours on that phone. In comparisons, the AFP could keep going longer. Yeah.... "big surprise" that it's my wife that owns the other phone and now wants my AFP!! XD

I mentioned it before but the only thing I have seen for a Lollipop update for the AFP is a custom ROM. I spotted it while searching last month due to another post here. The site with that ROM has the instructions there to try it out. I'm still wondering if Android M would be available for this phone when it shows up?!!

I also looked into the Galaxy Grand Prime before I went looking into this phone. For the life of me I can't remember what was stopping me from going after a Grand Prime but there is something seriously wrong with it imo. Seriously wrong enough to make me keep looking for a new phone and eventually found this AFP. As of yet, I been pretty happy with the AFP too!!

AnonD-436439, 08 Sep 2015Never had a problem with Wi-Fi signals dropping out like th... moreMaybe it was just my mobile data connection. i haven't tried it out on other devices. it's just that whenever my connection is cut-off and i re-connected, the app wont continue to download and i need to restart the download again. for small app its fine, but for 1g+ app this is annoying.

i haven't tried video calling through skype, only on viber and line app. i haven't noticed any heating on the device.

can you suggest an app for cache cleaner and can delete folders that aren't used anymore?

Battery consumption really depends on how you use the phone. but 4-6hours of battery life while on mobile data and continuous gaming for me is very good imo for this phones price. as for video calling, i tried using viber and line app, and i didn't noticed any heating at all. so yeah, i guess its only the gaming that heats up the phone.

I hope there will be a lollipop update for AFP. i really like the phone. its the really better than my previous samsung galaxy grand prime.

AnonD-434407, 07 Sep 2015hello again. with regards to my previous problem in which i... moreNever had a problem with Wi-Fi signals dropping out like that. Even clear through the rest of my house while I'm in my back yard (I tested that idea!!) and in the other direction across the street. The one thing I did notice is that app downloads only seem to be slow. Just the app download itself but no noticed slow downs / lags in downloading app data / updates / app use + game play.... things like that.

But on a mobile data connection, you'd most likely see that cut off due to the timeout of the connection. You can check it in other devices (if possible) and if you get similar results / problem in other devices, it's your connection. If not, it's the phone. More often than not, it's the connection. The part that I did notice is that the signal strength I get from my SIM bounces like a ping pong ball. I have not seen it cut me off from a call but it's very noticable and it's definately something that would mess up downloads and the such. It's exactly the reason I deleted the settings so my phone could not use a mobile data connection. It's not exactly cheap using a mobile data connection here anyway. That, and my router is pretty strong so I'll stick with the Wi-Fi!!

I play off and on each day on my AFP for hours on end. Yeah, it is the gaming that heats it up. But the battery lasts me at least 1 day. I was on video call in skype with it for about 3 hours during one day last month when I got this phone and didn't notice any heat up. Spent several hours in facebook chatting with multiple people and also didn't notice any such heat up. Are you also getting similar results?

I tried Summoners War. I just left it in the internal storage. Cool game!!

AFP has Dragontrail Glass protection which i think is just as good or even better than corning gorilla.. but i'm not sure because i'm not expert on this kind of thing. If you have some time, you can check the link below about the description of Dragontrail Glass. You can also search and compare the two.. :D

Excellent budget smartphone, better than the Lenovo A 7000. I like the 13 MP and the 8 MP camera, good longlasting battery, and the music player works well with the in the ear type earphone. No gorrila glass protection is the one and only minus thing that I find in this phone.

Beaster beast, 04 Sep 2015hello....so boring explanation..do it in simple way.. hello again. with regards to my previous problem in which i need to re download the additional data for summoners war, i figured i can copy its game file in the android folder form internal storage to SD Card. the result, i don't need to download the data again..

i have another concern, i noticed whenever i'm downloading an APP at play store then suddenly my signal dropped, it shows in the notification page saying waiting for network to retry or something like that. but when i re-established my connection, the download wont continue. is this only me or have you also experienced it too?

i have experienced occasional heating while i'm playing but it doesn't last long. i just rest the phone for 3-5 minutes and its good again.

the battery was great. i usually play either using night mode with full brightness or normal mode with 20-40% brightness. my mobile data is always on almost 24/7. With continuous gaming my battery last for about 5-6 hours, sometimes almost 7 hours.

New kid, 06 Sep 2015So it's still possible to expand the RAM using SD card? act... moreI also don't know, yet, if the RAM extender(s) will work or not. I'm going to find out later today. I was just watching the youtube videos about it. Seems like a good idea.... yeah, "seems" being the key word here!!

                                      For rooting.....

There're many ways to do it and dozens of sites that have the instructions to root and un-root Android mobiles. The rooting methods via an app are also very possible and just as easy as the methods via PC. No PC needed when using an app.

There're programs / apps such as Kingroot and iRoot. All too easy. I'm using an older version of iRoot.... done deal in mere minutes. These and others are freeware so you didn't have to buy anything. They'll install some needed apps in chinese during the rooting process (or some other language) but so far, that has not been any problem. Just try not to install the other apps from those things.

I'll also give the same warning as you'd find everywhere when rooting. Rooting WILL void your warranty. Use it at your own risk. Do note, rooting tools don't always work 100% of the time. Case in point, I have a tablet which was discovered as rooted. Whoever rooted that tablet did it wrong. So there are several apps that won't work properly on it. As of yet, I can't un-root it in an attempt to fix it. It was a " cheap little junker" tablet but I'd rather not have seen that happen.

In many mobile phones, one of the most common performance choke points is the quality of expansion memory card.

It means if someone is complaining about "lags" in movies, games and specially viewing galleries, it could be that they have a class 4 or cheap class10 mmc. This is the reason why some high end mobile phones have none expandable memory.
