I have no idea why people are complaining about the new 6.0 update. My girlfriends Idol 3 is now running faster, app switching and stuff is much smoother etc. Plus stuff like the settings menu, new app drawer, battery charge until full estimation etc. have made using the phone a much nicer experience. From my side many thanks for the new update to Alcatel. If you manage to update the phone to v7.0 till early next year, then I will buy an Alcatel phone for me as well since I will be on the market for a new phone at that time.

It seems the battery drains a tad quicker but not much but the phone seems to run much smoother than with Lollipop.

Took a good phone and turned it into a complete piece of JUNK. If you update to 6.0 you will be SORRY, Trust me and everybody else that updated and hates it.

is because you do root your phone and now you want to work right well, because they will not be able to because of your mistakes and not because the phone

Alcatel Idol touch 3,. now several things that worked well before now don't, so much for upgrade. can't get Bluetooth to pair properly in car. Hope fixes are on the way

Garbage, had it 3 months... replaced screen and had to replace the lcd as well because they are attached for 225, then the power button broke, and now the screen broke because I went on an airplane with it and the pressure cracked the screen. Useless phone, camera is horrible audio recording is bad, everything is garbage on this phone. After 3 months of having it I've finally purchased a new phone and destroyed this nightmare

EG: Got Lenovo tab S8-50, its brilliant but still on KK 4.4...... Pages and pages of woe and despair about from those who 'fiddled' with so called 'updates'. Okay lots are fine, but hey why take the risk??? If it ain't broke......

I keep saying to these forums that are not upgraded existing android system,
than stay on existing because when the phone is built it has been tested to its operating system, and when you upgrade to a newer , then you have problems , and it is sad when you feel the product is not working properly . so best to try to do a hard reset and if it does not help then go to authorized service that you install a new Android operating system

I got the Marshmallow update 2 days ago and i absolutely LOATHE it. Most of my daily apps are no longer usable: Chrome can't save image, Instagram does nothing, none of the launchers I prefer work properly, even my keyboard is out of whack. Everything asks for permissions, but when I go to change the permissions, it won't allow me to toggle them to use, sends me to another thing for display covering which never lets me toggle it to on. Essentially I might as well have myself a flip phone for all that does work. My advice: If you get the phone don't let it update to 6.0, it will take a functioning phone and limit it to calling, and texting.

Not a really good phone. The keyboard stops without any reason, you just find out sometimes that you cannot call sb or the clock doesn't show the time correctly. and i only have had it for 6 months.

If yes, hows th... moreits amazing , battery is improved for sure , it lasts longer and drains less, performance is spectacular, everything is buttery smooth , and the ui no longer lags, gaming is also much better ,i ran gta san andreas and was able to have a optimal frame rate, Nba 2k16 ran much smoother also. the ram consumption is also much better handled before i hardly had 600 mb ram free now i have a average of 1.1 gb of ram free. Another great feature is the flex storage, no longer do we have to deal with the dreaded storage is getting full message , basically format your microsd to combine it with the internal sd card (for example my 64 gb microsd card got combined for a grand total of 74 gb which is all considered internal space, which means you can now have the storage amount for huge apps without eating into the internal memory. One flaw that i did discover was that copying files took longer ,due to combining the storage, but in my opinion it is worth it. overall great update , makes your phone feel like an entirely different device, The phones processor is now being properly used and optimzed.

Good phone 4 the price. The only problem is the music player, other than that is a good phone in the range price. Unfortunately in México the upgrade 2 marshmallow is not gonna happen.
