I've been given an Alcatel OneTouch Pixi mobile phone to use while my Xperia is being repaired and I really REALLY hate this phone. It's awful. Its got to be the worst phone I have ever had the displeasure of using. They say this is a budget phone or an introduction to smartphones for someone but believe me, this would put anyone off smartphones for life if this was their first experience of a smartphone.
I've had this phone for one week and I can't wait to get my Xperia back. It is IMPOSSIBLE to type anything using this phone unless you have fingers the size of matchsticks.
Also, reading some of the comments people have put in this thread about Virus's on their smartphone and the best anti-virus to use... Only an absolute moron needs an anti-virus app on their phone because it's actually quite hard to get infected. Using unoffical apps requires a user to physically disable app security certificates on their phone and if you do that your asking for trouble. To download something from a website will always present you with 2 or 3 warnings about security so again, if you allow this type of download, your asking for trouble. Never click links from unsolicited emails and stay away from online porn and P2P downloading. Do all that and you don't need an anti-virus. Also, if you leave your wifi, bluetooth,NFC or hotspot switched on and unsecure your just asking for trouble.
You guys who are debating anti-virus apps on their phone should just stick to this RUBBISH alcatel onetouch pixi phone because to be honest the phone doesn't have enough memory to even hold a virus. hahaha. I wouldn't bother looking to upgrade to a decent smartphone because they require an owner to have a degree of smarts themselves. syck!

I'm attempting to download photos and videos to my new Dell laptop with Window's 10 and have had no trouble with my trail cameras, but it's telling me this phone is a disc? What am I doing wrong?

A lot of tears being shed over a handset that retails for $20USD,and runs Android?Sure,it has less than 1gig of storage...so get an SD card.No selfie cam?,poor baby! If you need phone and service apps-this does that well.If you want a toy to play with,go to the toy store...If you've got $500 of disposeable income lying around then go buy a big,heavy unit...or consign yourself to a contract...I would rather invest in my future rather than what amounts to as a baby tablet.

Purchased this as an emergency phone what the he'll was I thinking horrible phone pathetic customer service happy to toss this piece of rubbish straight into the bin but can't get a proper phone until the end of the month so I'm stuck with this crappy device

Happy about my phone, except with the low quality camera & the scant internal memory. If u elect to purchase this phone, I recommend purchasing a SD card to install prior to adding new apps or transferring data. My connectivity (phone & data) are comparable to my Samsung (Galaxy S4).
