Guys think twice before buying this phone.
Here is what I experienced after a week:
1. app launcher hangs nearly once a day and to be able to restart the phone I have to removethe back cover and battery every time. Very inconvenient.
2. Even worse, the clock hangs and renders alarm unuseful. I was locky to wake up on time ba chance in the past days.

My phone's status bar stops/force closes whenever I long-press on an icon on the notification panel like wifi, brightness, time out, etc. I have also experienced several auto-reboots with this phone. The 3.5mm earphone port also seems defective as the earphone only works when I plug in about 2/3 of the earphone plug. Dang! I think I got a lemon o_O
Oh, and I think the back cover/battery heats up a bit fast even if I only play casual games for a short while.

That was very disappointing nik.. I also have that losing signal while charging issue,. I regret buying this phone. I want my money back!

this is alcatel sapphire 2 right? just got this phone for few days now and im liking it very much. it suites my lifestyle(call,text,surf)

My phone also loses signal when charging. I sent it to a service alcatel but it did not fix. they sent it back saying that it is okay. if someone is repaired it? I do not recommend

I have this phone for a week now. Before I have this, I used to have the Alcatel Glory 2. They are both working great. The difference is that this sapphire 2 has a wider screen where playing games and browsing are more fun. My only problem with it is it's battery life. It can't last a day. I have to charge it from time to time specially when wi-fi is on. Sometimes I will just turn off the wi-fi to save the bat but still, it cannot last long. I need to charge it twice a day...Help pls! thanks!

I don't think it can go to 1GB of RAM and Quad Core, because that will be very hard.
Anonymus, you can upgrade it to Jelly Bean, Android Jelly Bean, cause the one I am going to get has already got Jelly Bean.

-scroll down look for notification settings
-uncheck vibrate. click never.
