When there is problem with the touch screen and therefore you find it difficult to make sms, it can be solved by upgrading it using the one touch upgrade.

Touch screen is worst for me.because i'm using HTC mini.
But its worth for just 10.5k.
Alcatel OT-980 model(Android) also available in SL and price is around 26k.

Activate two sims or one sim only is in phone's menu so you can choose
it. This is dual active, dual standy so both sims can received sms at the
same time but it is impossible for any phone to received call in sim 2
while sim 1 is currently engaged. Also, OT-710 & 710D are the same phone, the
only difference is OT-710D is dual sim while OT710 is single sim.

OT- 710 D means dual sims i guess.
mark did u check da sound quality what abt dat? is da touch screen really worst ?? what abt the other models in alcatel u tried those models??

Today I checked OT - 710 phone from local showroom in Sri Lanka. I feel touch screen is not sensitive like other touch screen phones (eg: HTC mini).
I've following questions.
1) Are there any way to improve sensitivity of the touch screen?
2) What will happen if touch screen is not working after sometime. Are there any way to make call and send sms using other alternative option ?
3) How can I put both SIMs in Active state? ( I mean when I'm on a call, can another one to call to my other SIM?)
4) What is the difference between OT-710 and 710D?

Install only games for full touch screen phone like this - those games that can be played in phone without keypad. Check the video you have received through bluetooth if it is compatible with the phone. That video may have a format that this phone does not support. You may also convert that video into .3gp so the phone can play it.

i hate this phone so much, i bought it from asda, and it was so difficult to unlock it so i could use O2 on it. three months later, (today in fact!) it decided to lock itself again. The predictive text is awful as well :(

i have installed games on 710d,it came but d pro is that there r no keys to play in d screen i.e.only volume key n call button worj=ks n there is no keys 2,4,6,8,5 in d middle to play .
